And who cares. The radio is bought and paid for by the record labels who pay to have their artists songs played. P is independent. No money to push the song on the radio. He coulda had a hit from alot of his CD's but he dont have the $ or label to push it. It is all about the $$$$ Lets not forget Prince signed with EMI, Arista and Sony ... and he still had no hits ... I think you might find it has something to do with the songs as well. | |

dance 4 me is the only one that could get spins today out of all of the new stuff. not saying it is the only good song, just saying that it is the only one that can play on modern radio and get enough positive feedback to play for a while.

My opinion is just an opinion as a lover of all the songs. "Valentina," seems to be the stronger of the two songs, however Dance 4 Me, is more light hearted. Overall I wouldn't suggest either of them for singles as becomming hit songs on the radio, although they are hits on the living room floor, or in the car.

not at all. these r just a few songs that are catchy pop/dance songs that may appeal to a wider audience-- Im more partial to olskool company , but that would not appeal to the general zombies out there who want the standard catchy pop number. Dance 4 Me would be a #1 smash hit for Prince on all the charts if the politics of radio were different than they are now. This song has a great chorus, a great groove, it's the best "single" Prince has done in a while. If only things were different. Prince.org is a cemetery where folks mourn Prince instead of celebrate him and his music. Last time I checked, Prince isn't dead yet.
