You guys are getting hung up on half of what he said. Taken in the context of the full statement, it isn't even political - to say nothing of being an Obama endorsement. "The White House is black. We got to take the radio back."

What he's saying is that people said we'd never have a black president - that it was impossible. He's drawing a comparison between that and taking back the radio and the record industry - which some also think is impossible.

It ain't that deep.
