What does everyone think of the Batman album?

Not his best but I like it very much. Scandoulous is one of my fav's from that album - especially the 'rapture' version.

i love it altho yes i agree it was when he lost an edge and the songwriting in general started to become a lot more straight forward on a whole. it also had a sound that was not as daring and the arrangements, to me, didn't have the edge that let's say ATWIAD had.
still tho, i loved the concept of having the different characters from the film be the "singers" on the songs.

i love it i really think it went alone well wit the female great kick ass concept thats what the joker of dark knight lacks is theme music and who better 2 b ur theme than the best artist in the world prince

hated it when i first heard it. it's grown on me a bit, but it still isn't my favorite. some great stuff on it, some not so great stuff . partyman is my shit!

Great album IMHO. In my top 5 Prince records/

I love the Batman album. I love most of the songs on it. I cant' see why Trust is so underated.

As others have said, this was the first time I realized that Prince was not bulletproof. But there were some good moments.

Perfect example of a superhero saving a career that could've taken a setback after Lovesexy...

I personally prefer the 12" version of "Partyman" and even thuogh it may sound like a potential B-side (), I really do like "The Future".

I love the Batman album- it has special memories for me as this is what made me jump on board the Prince Express. Haven't got off since!

Over rated at the time. Under rated over time. I think that many of the songs are really good including Arms of Orion. The only songs I don't care for are Partyman and Vikki Waiting.

I can't remember which music critic said it, but I agree: It's not that Batman was a bad album, but with Prince, you just expect so much more .

Not his best stuff but i like it,he came to Brazil just after that album,great show.

I really like the album. One of Prince better albums.

Brings back good and bad memories for me with this album and I must say since Batman has been on TV in the last 2 weeks on the Uk digital channels, I have watched both just to hear Scandalous.
