"Purple Rain," can be interpreted in many ways....I believe that the simplest way to describe the emotion of the song is..."A spiritual bathing," which to me means that an understanding with love and forgiveness is washing through you.

I have a signature thanks! The fact of me getting my butt jumped for helping, by inserting a link, is pointless, IMHO.Since that has happened a few other times.Some peoples attitude toward others helping or even giving suggestions by giving links stinks, IMHO. If the person dont want help or suggestions they should not ask or make a thread(let alone jump on people) for trying to help, therefore making the thread pointless.
Another point I want to make is that they (the mods) wont close this thread anyway, WHY? Its because the other thread is in fact 2 years old and this is new and its being referenced for this thread. I already had a situation like this as well and a mod was very helpful on that matter.
Kind of makes me wonder if you came to this thread to help the thread starter or start a fight with me

Purple Rain is quite actually Prince's trademark song. One thing that's not clear is it's meaning. Is it about a lover, heaven, a near death experience, a friend? Has Prince ever said what really inspired him to make the song? Was he wearing purple before or was that the song that changed his wardrobe? And I saw there's a secret verse to Purple Rain. I don't know if he everlet it out. Does anybody know the lyrics to it?
