Ah yes, the best album that I've ever heard getting more and more props these days. 
I don't usually pay attention to lists because they're all meaningless at the day's end, and they all make for some kinda argument if they don't meet your standards. These kids today don't have a musical 1984 to rescue them from the musical oblivion they are in right now. Back then we were overdosing on the candy pop of Michael Jackson and then here comes His Royal Badness with the jaw dropping Purple Rain. Hooked on the first listen and forever transformed into the Purple Underground. Damn I miss the Eighties. |

I agree. I was shocked that SOTT wasn't in there. At first, I thought that they only included one album from an artist; but U2 has 2 albums on the list. How the hell did Eminem make it on the list? Yes that album was good, but better than SOTT? And why all this love for Kanye West? Anyway, I don't want to bitch too much. I will say though that PR needs to be in the top 10 list of greatest albums of all time, not just in the last 25 years. | |

The last time I was at the Purple Legion CD store here in Moscow [no relation with our man], a sales assistant came up to me near the Prince section, grabbed the Purple Rain album, brandished it to me and said, "Vot etot - istoristicheski" [this one is historical].
