How in the Hell did Michael Jackson make this list when he lip synced? It is the direct vocal track from the BAD Album. The Grammys is supposed to be the biggest and best of music. You put a FAKE/Pretend Signer on the list of Top 25 Performances. It was Lip Synced. No one is falling for the Epic/Sony/ Michael Jackson hype of lies anymore... Lip Syncing directly from the album isnt amazing! It wasnt amazing when he did the same exact thing for Motown 25 either. Pretending to Sing isn't amazing.... and when his was turned on for the last 20 seconds or so of the song - his voice sounded awful. His voice was out of key. Which tells EVERYONE why he lip synced this Grammy Performance & that Motown 25 Performance. The Prince was better than I remembered.
I also remember being moved by Melissa Ethridge, even though I never liked her. It was a nice moment. RHCP & PFunk was great, too. Green Day was pretty meh, but I like the album a lot. My Legacy

Their picks seem really weighed for recent performance. Almost all of them were from the last 10 years.
Obviously Green Day couldn't have been the best (it's simply impossible), but the reason it struck a chord for people was that in what is maybe the most superficial time for pop music, and a very fucked up time for the world, an averagely talented pseudo-punk pop band decided to make an album that was actually about something. Imagine that! Add to that the fact that they're making music the old fashioned way, and it's practically a revelation for some listeners.
