At Babalu, Prince didn't look like a man in the throes of divorce

Prince wasn't playing the blues when he took the stage at Babalu.

Ashleigh Moss, Cameo Beauty Lounge owner, said she and her friend Erol Tarhan were about to leave the club late Saturday night when someone said, What the heck are you guys doing! Prince is on stage right now, guitar in hand.

"I finagled my way up front. I literally was about six inches from his face and he just played guitar," she said. "It was, ah, I don't know, a salsa band. He didn't play any Prince songs, just sat in with the band."

Prince performed with his band and also Sensación Latina, according to a Babalu staffer.

Even though Prince didn't break into a doleful rendition of "When Doves Cry," I still wondered whether Symbolina appeared to be a man in the throes of a painful divorce?

"No," Moss said. "He looked like a man wearing a lot of makeup. I'll tell you that."

In May, Prince's wife, Manuela Testolini Nelson, filed papers in Hennepin County to dissolve their marriage.

Prince arrived at Babalu with some people who looked like the usual suspects.

"There were two like very petite Prince-esque-looking girls. I assume they were with him, parading around like ponies," Moss said. "And then the big guys [Prince's bodyguards] kind of walking around overseeing everything: Prince contingent in the house."

Does'nt CJ have anything else better to do? I wonder how much she gets paid as a gossip columnist because the most dirt she can fish up most of the time is Prince related. So wht if he wore too much makeup (that I agree, it actually makes him look older). Nonetheless, I wear alot of makeup, and who cares? Only if he satrted to look like little richard is where I would draw the line.

Glad 2 hear our Royal Prince is out and about. I'm sure he's there taking care of business in Minneapolis and decided 2 go out and jam. We all known how he likes the night life. I truly hope that Prince is happy and one day ditch the make-up. I know his face is way 2 pretty 4 that. I hate hearing the wise cracks about his make-up. He can keep the eyeliner (thats hot). It brings out his beautiful eyes, but the liquid make-up is not necessary. I truly hope he's alright and getting through this thing called divorce. I truly hope he finds his happiness with the right woman one day. He needs a strong woman who knows how 2 handle his little ass. U go boy and play that funk music....
