Diamonds and Pearls on DVD Aug. 22...

A Billboard Bit....

The 1992 Prince home video "Diamonds and Pearls" will be released on DVD for the first time Aug. 22 via Rhino. The bulk of the film features music videos from that album, including the title track, "Gett Off," "Cream," "Call the Law" and "Insatiable." There are also live versions of "Thunder," "Live 4 Love," "Jughead" and "Dr. Feelgood," as performed with the New Power Generation.

As reported yesterday, Prince is shutting down his five-year-old NPG Music Club, which has maximized its potential, according to a statement released to its members.

My ol vhs copy is all worn out and i have been missin that hot

they have thrown in all of those Gett Off videos
from the maxi-video as a dvd bonus?

MJ was a brilliant singer/dancer...best of all time, however, that's all he was. Let's not compare him to Prince, best musician of all time, but rather, compare him to someone like Sammy Davis Jr (who I don't hear anyone calling a musical genius).

They'd be stupid not to at least release Live. Prince And The Revolution Live is full of hits. It would definitely sell on DVD.

Yep. The D&P videos sucked (except "Gett Off"), and I won't be buying this but I would love to have "Violet..." on DVD. dancing jig

i'm actually surprised that they didn't release it around the same time as the pr 20th anniversary dvd...that woulda been kinna cool.
