i love Fury....my one complaint is that it needs a stronger hummable part..

but with the guitars..and the passion..its a minor complaint. i love the background twins...i prefer T'amar as a background singer though..she brings nothing new to the world of music..

unless she is a tranny or something.....

she is pretty..but for voice is just there...unless she is a tranny or something...

Just seen it, loved it. Pretty Man was on fiaaaah! guitar And am loving the backing singers - very... Proud Mary wink However, on BL&B I thought Tamar's vocals may have been a little too loud, as he seemed to be struggling to be heard over her sometimes. but that small gripe aside, 'twas sheerpurpleawesomeness all round!

thumbs up! Mr Man!

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!

I think its safe to say the new CD is going to be off the chain!!! MY God both songs were so full of life and I love the girls.

The second song they had his mic to low Tamar was overpowering his vocals. But the song was awesome too!!

I loved everything about this and its been a minute since I felt this good and strongly about a 4 new Prince songs!! Don't get me wrong I love the mans music but this new stuff is just fiyah!!!!

PRINCE IS THE SHIT!!!

1 comment..i make one comment and you try to elude that i am making numerous....

and do you even know why i made the comment? because she is boring..doesnt bring anything new to the pop world...she is a pretty lady with a decent voice but no unique personality.

now, if she were a tranny..then she would bring something new to the table and i might have an interest in her...

dont you all love how i praise prince's song..his performance and this woman points out the one minor issue i had.

POSITIVITY!!! Have you had your...

"Fury" is fucking sublime, the synth part combined with the lyrical guitar all the way through make it sound sooo good, bring on the new album.

So I finally see Tamar...not that impressed. Ledisi shoulda been the one he took under his wing. Or hell, Leela James - BOTH have better range than Tamar.

The first song was OK. Then I waited through all those stale comedy skits to find that the second song was someone else's, and a dull as hell one at that. I turned the TV off in the middle of her song and turned on my music.

I Tivo'd the show and proceeded to watch both
performances over and over again. I won't argue
influential relevance, or whether the back-up singers
were good or not, or whether this is a return to form.
Ultimately, if you are a fan of Prince, these
last two years have been amazing. And the man is
smart. Just like the Grammies ushering(no pun) in
Musicology, this performance on SNL will help kick start
3121. Come on now! That guitar work on Fury?!!
The man still has it.
Go Prince! And any haters out there - that's ok,
I won't be missing you when I work up my sweat and
lose my voice during the upcoming tour. Stay home!
We don't need you.

Great thanks! I've just been lurking around reading for the past year. I'm definitely ready to jump back in == Prince is kicking all kinds of ass now and I couldn't be happier.

Peace, David

I think it's redundant to keep praising the performance and geeking out over it, so that's exactly what I'll do. awesome show, great songs, in my ears those are the best radio songs he's had a hand in for a while. Buckle up for the storm coming next month.

Here here I agree, she was singing too loud and he struggled to be heard, the song was funky, great beat and great synthesizer, reminded me of Dr. Fink. The first song rocked though, man the end of that song with the guitar was awesome; hope you all heard the songs in stereo.

WELL....if Tamar has a good memory, once Prince puts you out there it's only for a moment, then when you get close to the stars you're on your own.

Other than the look a like Ikette Background singers, and Prince's bad skin, it was great to see him, he was awesome; now that we heard 3 songs from the cd, let's hope the rest of the songs rock. Hopefully he is back with some funk, as Larry Graham sang years ago: 'we've been waiting for so long.'
