That is a cool ass picture. I'm going to use that for a mixed cd cover... nod
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

That's right! Although, when Prince does something so out there that it only appeals to us, we're like "yeah, you just don't get it!" hmph!
So either way, we win! Except for when he sucks! But he doesn't! Life's great!

Former host of Video Soul on BET, for like 10 years or more. Currently he has the top rated DC drive time radio show in the Washington, DC area black radio market. He's been in the radio business more than 30 years.

Well, he is obviously dumb as fuck because there is no way in hell that you can dog this performance on national radio. What did he say anyway?
[Edited 2/7/06 3:47am]

He commented that he was hyped to see Prince on SNL and went around his house setting all of the TiVo units to record the show. Then right after "Fury" he said he went around deleting all of the performance. He said he was disappointed and that the song was just not good. He said he'd rather have heard him play "Black Sweat". His sidekicks all agreed.

I'm often confused by Donnie. He always talks about the different types of music he listens to. But some of the stuff he hypes on his show is retread R&B crap. I've been listening to his morning radio show for more than 25 years and I swear he didn't used to be like this. It's almost like he's just trying to stay hip with some of the stuff he says is so great.

He's a radio dick that's his job, all those assholes are desperate for listeners cos they NEED us and they'll say and do anything to try to come off as hip and in tune with the young crowds and since the current hip thing is crap like "Black Sweat"... Well....

Well he didn't give "Black Sweat" that much praise either. Actually his job is to play music that's on his play list. But the point is that normally he tapes live performances and plays them back on the radio. At least that would give people who didn't see it chance to decide if they like it or not. This time he just bashed the song and didn't even play it to let folks decide for themselves.

Only Prince fans are clueless enough to point out non-issues like P, Kim B. and Alec B...
I bet most of those same fans think when Prince and Dez Dickerson would meet they would argue about Prince's diss towards him in "Xtra Loveable"...

Neversin.

Say player, it's NOTHING clueless about me. As I posted before, a BIG part of my mentioning P and Alec and Kim was based on fun. But because so many of orgers have no sense of humour (especially when it comes to P), then I get this type of bullshit like you posted. And PLEASE get your timeline correct if you're going to try to be witty and shit; Dez was STILL in P's band when P cut that. So, if they were going to squab (a black term for fighting), they would have done that shit then, not later! (Still me playing around, but since Neversin is hella uptight, this too will be missed).

One of the most INTERESTING points for me was at the end when Prince was standing RIGHT NEXT TO Alec Baldwin.
They looked so uncomfortable next to each other!!!
They didn't even look at each other while the camera was on!

I can't believe they put them right NEXT TO each other considering the whole Kim Basinger thing.....guess they've outgrown it though, since it's been so long.

it was still weird though!!!!

I noticed the same thing.
