In the Live At the Aladdin DVD, during The Work, Prince says during a break, "...so funky I can't even sleep with maself!"

During Sign O' the Times, Play In the Sunshine, just before the second solo, Prince announces Sheila E., and then says, "Not bad...for a girl!"

2004 Musicology in Denver.

The audience was singing the "She wasn't to bright" part in Raspberry Beret, and they were like "Shee-eee-eee!!" and he paused and was like:

Y'all sounding kinda CRAZaY on that one

lol
I rolled on the floor while listening to it.

Just a little off topic but, in a live version of "Still Would Stand All Time", one of the back up singers through out the first 5 minutes keeps on singing 'still WILL stand all time'. Prince finally says "Who's the fool saying will, IT'S WOULD! From then on she says 'would'. Kinda funny though. biggrin

I can't believe I forgot about that one! that is some funny shit! It's bonnie boyer who's messin' up the line. He hints around at it a few times before saying that too..lol he says something like "still would stand all time, yes it would" emphasizing the "would" part. lol

In 1993 during Act II in Chicago, a young lady jumped on stage to start dancing. She was wearing baggy jeans and a t shirt. Prince looked at her and said, "I like your dress baby,"

For real?

Hard to imagine fights breakin' out at a Prince concert. That'd be like hugs breakin' out at a Gwar concert! razz

Musicology Tour.

During the acoustic set, Prince was telling the audience how some drunk dude had been talking to him the night before telling him how much he loooooved Prince's music.

He tells Prince: "Yeah, especially that song STRAWberry Beret!"

So, Prince breaks into that song and when he sings the chorus, he sings "STRAWberry Beret" too!

Yeah but I dont care for that song so much. The thing is, I brought someone with me to that ONA show that was heavy into hip hop and only knew Prince from most of the 80s and 90s hits so I wanted him to get a real feel for what Prince was about. When he went off playing Love RollerCoaster, he looked at me as if to say, "U ivited me to an oldies show"? I couldnt figure out why Prince was playing that tune of all cuts that he coulda played. confused

Go figure...More than 50% of hip hop is an "oldies show".Ask P Diddy. If it wasn't for old school, he wouldn't have a career.

In salt lake city, the musicology concert- Prince said that him and
his wife were fighting on who should put the toilet seat down and she
said that he should since he puts it up and that he had to sleep on
the couch because of that I thought that was funny.

Then showin this guy on stage who played sax I guess and
said do you know what a pimp looks like? and he said look
at this guy he's dressed like one and showed his boots and
Prince started laughing, too funny lol
