When the JOTY tour stopped in Washington at the Gorge (which is an outdoor venue), between a couple songs he paused to reflect... "It's colder than a witches titty out here." I thought it was odd coming from a dude who grew up in MINNESOTA!!! All jokes aside, he was right though.

Someone asked him something at the rehearsal on the ONA tour in 2002 in cleveland, and he replied back with "Yo Mama". Then he said "Im sorry, you walked right into that one..."

On the live Musicology L.A.broadcast last year a blond girl in a white dress fell right in front of Prince while dancing on stage as he performed"Take me with U". Prince replied without missing a beat," One too many trips to the bar". Prince was funny that night especially the faces he made when he danced with some of the fans.

Musicology Tour.

During the acoustic set, Prince was telling the audience how some drunk dude had been talking to him the night before telling him how much he loooooved Prince's music.

He tells Prince: "Yeah, especially that song STRAWberry Beret!"

So, Prince breaks into that song and when he sings the chorus, he sings "STRAWberry Beret" too!

Glad he didn't run into my mate. A while back she said - speaking about exactly the same song - "Ooh, I love that... what's it called..."Dance merry-go-round". confused

I think that was the Parade tour in Paris if I remember correctly.

It was Rotterdam in 1986, there was fighting in the audience for at least two of the 3 concerts...

Philly Hit N Run 2000, during the song Kiss, Prince puts the mike up to this woman for her to sing a line of the song and you can barely hear her and he looks at the audience and says she needs subtitles. That was too funny.

Musicology Tour, Kansas City

They started playing the "Uh Oh" booty bounce part of Crazy in Love and Prince lifts up his shirt and shakes his booty. Then he says," I aint got enough booty for yall huh?" and that one really big dude in his band gets up and shakes it for us. " Well there u go!"

During On The Couch: He sings the part, "I wanna go down south..." Then pauses and says, " I mean the southern part of the United States." and grins. I yelled out, " I knew u were still a freak!" falloff

During acoustic set, Cream: He stopped and was like, "yall don't know the words? It's Cream, get on top, u will cop, don't u stop. We'll try it again, ok?" in a kindergarten teacher voice. Then he smiled and started playing again. I guess I learned on this thread that it happened a lot on that tour.

Also his re-enactment of Ozzy Osbourne was hilarious!

During a 2002 soundcheck in Berlin a girl is allowed onto the stage and tells Prince she wants to work in Paisley Park as a sound engineer (despite having no formal training). She then starts tinkling Prince's piano keys, prompting Prince to say: "Sounds like you can play a little bit".

Realising he spoke too soon he then adds: "I'm sensing an Ozzy Osbourne moment here..."

"So the marijuana is really good in Berlin", he sighs as he realises the girl just won't stop tinkling the ivories...

Suddenly, Prince shouts :"THANK YOU VERY MUCH!" and the girl is finally led offstage.

This comes from an aftershow, though I can't remember the location, bit it is overseas. Someone is smoking in the front row when Prince & The Band comes on. He tells them as he's playing a funky jam, "doesn't the sign say no smoking in here? Put it out or we're out". The band keeps jamming.

The person apparently keeps smoking because a few mins. later Prince signals the band to stop on the 1 & they leave the stage. Around 5 min. later u hear the promoter come out & tell the crowd put it out or the show's over.

Around 5 min. after they come back out & pick up without missing a beat. Damn I guess that brother wasn't playing!

Just a little off topic but, in a live version of "Still Would Stand All Time", one of the back up singers through out the first 5 minutes keeps on singing 'still WILL stand all time'. Prince finally says "Who's the fool saying will, IT'S WOULD! From then on she says 'would'. Kinda funny though. biggrin

I've got that performance on cd. I remember you saying that and I laugh when I hear it now.
