We all know that Prince has a great sense of humor. From elaborate practical jokes (Bobby Z- WHERE'S THE MAYONAISE?!) to goofy hijinks (appearing onstage in a fake beard, dark glasses, and rollerskates once last year).

Let's have a thread filled with Prince's funniest moments throughout his career. Include funny things he has done on stage, practical jokes, antics, song lyrics, whatever.

I'm sure everyone here has been to enough shows that they could tell some funny stories that only the people in audience that night would know.

The funniest thing I saw him do was when he was getting interviewed by Matt Lauer and he asked him what did they ,his staff, call him when he changed his name to the symbol . He said "boss" and Lauer asked what eles and he goes "Um, Master....just kidding"

Apparently Prince (and maybe Fink?) was being interviewed by a reporter backstage at a gig when Bobby Z calmly walked in to get a sandwich. Upon noticing that there was no mayonaise, Bobby proceded to thrash the room and threaten the reporter yelling "WHERE'S THE MAYO!". It was all staged and the reporter bought it completely.

I always crack up when I hear him eating Cap'n Crunch in "Joint 2 Joint".

The song "Poom Poom" also makes me laugh.


Many things from "Cherry Moon" crack me up. When she lays eyes on him for the first time at her Birthday party--he's striking that pose. Kills me!

Jay Leno brings up Prince's prank everytime he comes on the show! I also heard him bring that up in interviews!

I think that is Jay's favorite moment on his show.

This always cracks me up, from one of the ahdio shows.

Or what about that one interview with Veronica Webb and he had his face covered with that scarf and really pissing her off because he was being difficult and would whisper his awnsers for the interview to Mayte who then would relay what he said. Webb got really frustrated and said "Who does your hair Prince?" Prince whispers in Mayte's ear...and Mayte says "Yo' mama" I LOVE that man!
