Thank u sweet SING MIA 4 explainng this so I can better understand... Yes, the outfit DID depict a cloth one would wear in THE NEW WORLD... Never thought of that, as I think God might just want us nakidd, since we'll all B PERFECT. smile As far as the respect they didnt show HIM, this seemed 2 B the case at the LAST celebration of life at Paisley Park studios on the last concert nite as well, when Prince was trying 2 talk about something spiritual, BUT ppl started screaming and shouting and cut him off. It was pathetic, as lots of us WANTED 2 hear him speak I'm sure... I DID! However, PRINCE has 2 know THE WORLD is satans workshop, and PRINCE is out in satans shop. THIS WILL HAPPEN. sad God says thats ok, as those persecuted should rejoice, bcuz we're doing something RIGHT...and HE is! LOVE U BROTHER PRINCE ROGERS NELSON Inside & out. I believe in U!!!! .

The person screaming was wrong, but I think it was more of a "I Love U" or "Sing for Us"....etc. affection than a cut down as some of yaw seem to think

NO it def wasnt. It was a nasty comment from one so-called fan. Cant remember what EXACTLY, but IT def WAS NASTY. If LOVE U were the words shouted Prince probably would have kept talking, but he realized its better not to when hearts arent spiritual, and willing 2 hear about spirtituality. He Tried. Ur loss not his. (not meaning u)
May the BELLS ring 4 U even when ur not in love. hug kisses

No, it wasn't "nasty". You apparantly misheard.

The person in the audience yelled "I LOVE YOU, PRINCE" or "WE LOVE YOU, PRINCE".

Rude of that person, yes. "Nasty" or insulting to Prince directly, no.

Equally entertaining was actually watching Rene's demeanor and body language when she was on stage with him. She was absolutely fit to be tied drool3 and it wasn't because she won the award. Check out the clip and watch her. It seemed to me that at any moment she was going to stop mid-sentence and say "Dayum...Prince!" At one point she begins to say something to the effect that she is was so pleased to be standing here tonight...yada yada yada. I could swear that she made a course correction diverting from an acknowledgement that she was sharing the stage with THE MAN. All of this completely evident on the face of on one of hollywood's favorite leading ladies in the 2005. That is way cool. cool

I so agree and how funny that your obersvation is the same as mine batting eyes! It was so totally obvious to me that Renee was so in AWE of P omg and was freaking out that she was on stage with him. All I can say that I completely understand how she was feeling cloud9

Not to take away from Prince's effect on people, but have you ever seen Renee accept an award before? ANY kind of award where she's called up on stage to accept the award and make a speech?

She's always a flustered, blathering, stuttering mess. I think she's just a nervous personality and making acceptance speeches calmly and coolly isn't when she's at her most collected and comfortable.

I guess I just didn't see where she was "freaking out". confuse She seemed her usual state of discombobulation to me, and I didn't necessarily attribute that to being near Prince.

But then what do I know - I'm not in Renee's head and can't speak definitively on how or why she acts the way she does. razz biggrin

I know. I don't understand how these people think that screeching their "admiration" like some kind of deranged lunatic during such an inappropriate time will in any way be taken as a compliment by the person they're yelling at, or that it reflects back on them in any way but UNFLATTERINGLY. It certainly doesn't make them look like some cool uberfan, if that's what they're attempting to prove.

I figure in cases like this it's either: the rude person is drunk, has absolutely no manners or sense of propriety, or is an attention whore...or a combination of all three.

I wish Prince would've said something directly to them/that person, like "How rude of you. I'm glad most fans of mine have some class and manners." but I suppose he can't do that. I just wish he could've done something to embarrass them for their rudeness.
