Once again have you ever been in a relationship with a man. Guys do not go around burning shit unless something bad as gone down. I still think Mayte got tired of his crap and ran off with some other dude which to be fair leaving your wife in another country and having a mistress back home is bound to cause this to happen.

He made the stituation and then could not handle it when he got a taste of his own medince.

There are two sides two every story and we are never going to hear about what Mayte did wrong because that is not going to sell books.

I have to agree with you, Laura, that something serious must have happened for him to have that kind of behaviour. It does seem quite an extreme... reaction. I think this is the correct word: reaction.

Im going to really speculate here...and draw on my intuition..

I know there has never been any mention of it, but Im guessing that at some point when things rocky between them

It is obvious that the 2 or 3 people who are stanning so hard for Mayte in this thread HATE Prince. They would much rather believe horrible things about him than face the many, many facts that have been pointed out about Mayte's conflicting "different stories" and now this "confirmation" of him burning the ashes. Again, all she did was say "yes, he did" without providing any concrete evidence. Apparently everybody has to back up what Prince said or did with CONCRETE IRREFUTABLE EVIDENCE, but when Mayte "says" something, it's gospel. Even the videos tapes from that era where she is saying/doing something different from what she wrote are dismissed by these individuals. I really wonder what they are doing on a PRINCE fan forum besides calling his real supporters "haters" and "sh*t disturbers". SMH

We have yet to track down a set list for Barcelona 25th July 1990 that has Thieves in the Temple on the setlist. Remember this is when they first heard the Middle Eastern music and decided to give Prince a tape.

The setlist is at this link. No Thieves in the Temple was played that night.

You and I read the same book. She also wrote they never went on dates and then in another interview said they went to the movies all the time. Go figure.

In her book she writes that she was "no longer a virgin" 2 weeks after getting on the pill. Anyone who has been on the pill knows you wait a full month. So, unless they used condoms during that time, I'm likely to agree with you. She's also said the baby was full term, not premature.

Well, they could certainly ask her about the inconsistencies. For instance, this $100K she writes about bringing to PP when she goes there. Under a year or so, she's broke. Her apartment in Minnie is paid for and she's on P's payroll. She mentions no big purchases except for a car she bought in Germany (and presumably left there). What happened?

Well, when they took the pregnancy test on her honeymoon and a blood test on the honeymoon, it came up negative......

.

On page 205-206 in the book it says, the drs came in and gave her an injection to make the baby's lungs mature faster. They told her it would better if she delivered early and she would probably have a premature baby, because of all the problems she was having. They scheduled a C-section.

.

Seriously if either of you had read the book, you'd know this.

That's the thing, isn't it Lovejunky? What if they had an agreement as to how they would comport themselves through the annulment? Just how things were going to go down and when? All we currently have is Mayte's side of the story. And she never talks about what she did in Spain although she was supposedly working on opening up a night club (Scorpio), attending parties and having a life. According to her, she just talked on the phone the whole year and a half.

Once again, this is not a deposition, and we are discussing the book. She may remember things differently. Do you remember everything exactly as it was 20 years ago? There are plenty of other hate Matye treads, maybe there would be a better place for you to do so. There are 50+ pages of discussion and the last page is mostly all a few ppl just trying to make issues where there are none. It's just a book that does not change your life. Please start your own 'truth' thread if it's so important to you. ~~Peace.

OMG. So, discussing what is IN THE BOOK that differs from ACTUAL FACTS gives you a wedgie and turns into a "deposition" requiring a "truth" thread? Your response has nothing to do with her getting on the pill at 19 and having sex two weeks later because that pill was not effective in two weeks. She should have known that back then and she should definitly know this now.

Same thing with blowing $100k in a year. Ridculous stuff.

Another one of those things that makes no sense. She writes that P brought her to PP to prevent her from dancing in Cairo. She says she did an audition in Cairo and was asked to come back the following year. Early the following year, she gets the news that the hotel she auditioned for burnt down and it wasn't going to be rebuilt. Therefore, no contract. So how did P hiring her mean that he was preventing her from going to Cairo or that she had to give up her contract when it didn't even exist?

That was just one hotel and contract.

There are many opportunities and hotels, etc where she was positioned to perform.

That's the same as any other young talent who is hot at the moment, but takes a year away...there are others who take your opportunities when you fall off the face of the planet, move out of that social circle and aren't in the loop anymore.

She lied about everything concerning their intimate lives so I guess she also lied about not having sex with Prince until she was nineteen. Yeah that's a laugh, two gorgeous people not doing what comes naturally and having a nasty romp!! You know she's lying about that, Prince would have been hittin that! She is such a liar.

How would you know?

.

Mayte was wife material, and was treated as such, besides he had other ho's to do the dirty work.

I notice that you consistantly acknowledge P's bad behaviour, but then you feel that's got to be a result of someone else's bad behaviour and simply cannot or willfully will not believe that it's possible for anyone, including P, to indulge in unprovoked bad behaviour solely out of their own ish.

It's as if unless you can make Mayte culpable you can't rest. P could be an azz, this is no secret to true fans. In my case, I know it and accept that fact for what it is. Doesn't make me love him less.

Silly wabbit.

How do you know the backyard bonfire was an unprovoked act? You dont. You should know also from seeing Mayte on that ex wives t.v show that she has a temper and was filmed breaking things and physically manhandling someone. Two sides.

And what would be your excuse that Prince burned all the baby things and ashes? Did the baby provoke him too?

Was the baby not his too? Or was it an immaculate conception? Princed loved his son and as you have read in the book was by his side 24/7.

Btw, on a recent interview Mayte said she forgave Prince because after all, they were "JUST ASHES" Care to comment on that?
Baby, you're a star.

Meet me in another world, space and joy

You didn't answer the question. The answer you gave about Mayte's things being burned was because she provoked Prince. But what did the baby do, to provoke Prince to burn his things and ashes?
