Today marks 6-months that we lost our Prince.

Sheila E. is doing a beautiful Tribute to Prince on Sunday, October 23. I wish I could be there!!

.

She said she has been overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and support from fans. People are calling her "The First Lady of Paisley Park"!! prince heart

-- What is your reason for saying that. This is a charity event supporting charities that Prince supported.

Sheila can take several seats. She's been exposed for what she is.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

oh come on. Sheila is a musician who's been slugging away in the industry for a long time, with and without Prince. It must be really hard on some of these associates to have fans coming after them for every thing they do (or don't do). I think we can just give her, and some others, a break.

Ok, hold up. She's doing a show where all proceeds go to charities that Prince supported. These charities have been seriously affected by his loss due to the fact the donations stopped. This is more than any other associated act has done and you have a problem with it? I don't know what to say....some of y'all are gonna hate no matter what. I feel bad for you.

Glad that Sheila is paying tribute and supporting his charities at the same time. I don't understand some of the animosity towards some of the associates wanting to support his legacy. What are they supposed to do? Act like Prince never existed or if they never knew him? Everyone grieves differently, some have been more vocal and some have been quiet, so I respect their own way of grieving. She wants to share this with all the fans, so she has nothing but my support. I thought she was fantastic at the BET Awards. Love her and think she is a dynamic talent in her own right. cool

Meltedman: I agree; I think what Sheila E. is doing is a wonderful thing. I don't understand why some people have an issue with it.

I agree. I think Sheila E. is honoring Prince the way he would have wanted. And, as far as I know, this concert is FREE. Who else is doing that? Just saying.

I appreciate that she is paying tribute to Prince. People on here mourn in different ways while they talk bad about those who actually had him in their lives for years! Really?? I can't even imagine the sorrow she as well as the other women that loved him feel. Let them all carry on his legacy as they see fit.

I agree. I can't even imagine the emotional pain that Sheila E. is in. Never would she disrespect Prince. She knew him, on a very deep and personal level, we did not.

I appreciate Sheila E

4 me it's those people who helped get the purple culture of music out there that I hope to continue keeping the music alive.

People forget that people like Sheila E and other have a time when they won't be around anymore or won't be able to perform, so I say take it to the Dawn Sheila!!
