Folks said Sheila was stand offish lol and a snob back in the day, but I just couldnt believe that, but these last six months have shown some things lol lol

/-- Once again read her book she explains what was bothering her.

U read it? lol

-- I did read it back when it came out. If you don't read it then you need to have seat on the matter of her being stand offish. You don't know the whole story.

I said I couldn't believe she was like that but the last few months have made me think she may be milking this thing, but I've always been a fan of hers and still am.
RIP Prince I will forever heart and miss U

Sheila is doing a tribute to Prince....isn't that what you guys wanted? A tribute focusing on the music of Prince,by someone who was close to him and worked extensively with him in the past? confuse How can you complain about that? I don't understand all the negative comments!

Sheila's full of it.

Ok, hold up. She's doing a show where all proceeds go to charities that Prince supported. These charities have been seriously affected by his loss due to the fact the donations stopped. This is more than any other associated act has done and you have a problem with it? I don't know what to say....some of y'all are gonna hate no matter what. I feel bad for you.

Just so that we're clear: When/Where did Sheila say that ALL proceeds from ANY of her "tribute" concerts are going to charity? There's a big difference in donating ALL proceeds and donating a few dollars from each show to charities. A HUGE difference. Pay close attention, Fam...

All proceeds from the kick-off Sheila E. Benefit Concert will be donated to the Purple Philanthropy fund administered by Twin Cities Mobile Jazz Project. Organizations that Prince supported in the past will be able to apply for grant funding to honor his legacy by continuing the programs Prince knew would make a difference in transforming lives of youth living in poverty.

How can anyone find fault with this, OR who is preforming with her?

Many Prince "fans" have truly saddened me with the hate slinging.

In my mind, I wish ALL of these show and collaborations would have taken place WITH him.

I have tried to give to these charities and I support one monthly with donations.

It sure is a better homage to his memory than all the hate.

I saw Sheila E and Morris Day in Cleveland last Saturday.

She is a true musician.

Her performance was dedicated to the legacy of Prince.

Sheila is still grieving and openly wept when she talked about P and

said she is "not fine" although her social media may say otherwise.

Sheila appeared to be genuine.

I know many here are upset about Sheila selling Tshirts with the symbol but

we dont know what kind of agreement she has with the family and the

Estate.

I was disappointed with Morris Day and the Time.

Although he played a short video of P before he came out, he

never once mentioned P during his performance even though it was

billed as a Prince Tribute.

Why isnt the org dissing Morris?

Why shouldnt Morris take a seat too?

Was he that high in demand for concerts prior to P's passing?

Why are we picking and choosing who gets dissed?

Thanks for posting that. Sheila E. is doing this out of respect and love for Prince. She doesn't want or need financial gain. I think some people have an issue though with her using P's symbol. I do think there are some artists who are trying to capitalize off of P's death, but I think Sheila E. only comes from a place of love. She was very close to Prince and knew him on a level that we did not. I think she is an incredibly strong person and I think these tours and connecting with the fans are helping her through the grieving process. I wish her nothing but the best.

If anyone call pull off a Prince tribute and do it extremely well, it would be Sheila E. She is a class act and she has a strong work ethic, like Prince did. I can see why they got along so well. She takes her music very seriously.

.

As for Morris, yea, I've seen his tribute thingy for Prince (the movie at the beginning of the show). He does post a lot about Prince on his FB. I'm sure he is hurting and missing his friend. I don't think P and Morris spoke much, until recently. I'm glad they were able to re-connect.

Unlike us ladies, most men are hesitant to cry openly, that could be why Morris did not talk about Prince.

Actually, Morris Hayes, the amazing musical director of the Official Prince Tribute concert, joined Prince's family at The Muse.

Morris Day did not attend.

it was said that MD had a previous commitment they could not get out of but still wanted to be apart of the show. so they played a quickie set at thebeginning and then headed out. i think they made a short appearence at the afterparty thing too. but i could be wrong.

After the Official Prince Tribute concert, Morris Day performed at First Avenue. Doug E. Fresh and Bilal also performed there.

Morris Day did not attend the concert held by Prince's family at The Muse. Other Prince associated artists performed at The Muse that night such as Morris Hayes, Andre Cymone, The New Power Generation horns, Cassie, Judith Hill, Liv Warfield, etc., etc.

Also, as quiet as it's kept, there has been some displeasure with the short performance by Morris Day and the Time at the aftershow, about a half hour...for $65. Honestly, I can't really get a read on Morris Day....
