TELL IT GIRL!
I'm tired of the "sisterhood of the traveling widows" and I mean ALL of them (ex-wives, ex-girlfriends, ex-lovers, and even ex-lover wannabes). At first, I expected and even looked forward to hearing statements from them about Prince's passing, but it's gone too far. The love confessions, tattoos, tours, t-shirts, belly dances proclaiming undying love, and competing for Prince's numero uno slot make all seem like a spectacle. Even Apollonia's widow dissertation was bizarre. Maybe her intentions were good and perhaps she was trying to be caring by planning a trip to PP after the plane incident, but it seems that Prince was not interested in such a visit. She admitted that his manager was not returning her calls. Then she lost me when she named herself a "widow". . None of them can claim the title of widow as it's obvious Prince was not interested in being with any of them at the end or ever again for that matter. Most have made his death into an opportunity to gain relevance and attention. .
I don't know Mani's intentions, but I think it's HIGH time for her husband to take her home and Mayte to get back to her daughter. Enough is enough. They can grieve all they want, but we don't all need to be witnesses. Somehow I think the widow circus train will keep chugging along a bit longer. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm afraid they haven't all come out of the woodwork just yet. | |

Like I said before the second one is now lamenting the fact that she was a gold digger and a stupid one at that...all this couldve been hers, but Prince saw better and moved on. She needs to stop following Prince's bandmates which she wasnt even around when they were playing with Prince, Stop posting on social media so she can say his fans are harassing her and go somewhere and raise her children. The aftermath of Prince's death has been worse than his death itself, but it has truly made me see the light regarding some of these so called Associates. Lemme say this again...I will never support another damn thing that any of them do and I mean that!!!Mani knows these people who are performng. You dont think in the interim of her marriage with Prince that there was never any conection (dinners, meetings) with each other? It is known that Prince did keep in contact with many from his previous bands and people from his past. I'm sure Mani was there in many instances and grew to have a relationship with many of these people, even if at the very least, a superficially. It makes sense for her as well as Mayte to be part of this, be there, and have camraderie with The Revolution and others. I'm sure the band and others feel the same way. Hell, I think she was instrumental in the celebrations that got many of the Revolution members attending for some of the performances back then. | |

One thing people need to realize about Mayte and Manuela is that they were both married to him, during different times in his life. Mayte was a part of NPG and was dancing before she met P, and he just so happened to enhance her career. I do not agree with any of you that say she has ulterior motives concerning her belly dancing classes that she is teaching whether in MN or California. She has to make a living, not only for herself, but also for her daughter. If Prince was alive and could support her in anything she did outside of him and his band, than don't you think we should give her the benefit of the doubt. What they went through throughout their working relationship and marriage happened a long time ago, and if she still feels the way she does after all these years, then so be it, and it is her business. I don't know enough about Manuela and Prince's marriage to judge, so I will not say anything about it. But enough about Mayte already!!!! She has done nothing so far that warrants people saying that she has ulterior motives because she is teaching belly dancing classes in California, MN, or anywhere else for that matter. Feel free to be mad, and judge me if you so choose, but this is my opinion. Erin Smith | |

Don't be surprised if Mayte is getting set to move back to MLPS. Her belly dance studio will become a fixture on the Prince tour. Just mark my word... | |

I don't think she's moving back to MPLS anytime soon. From her FB and Instagram looks like she might be back in CA. Don't forget she still has her "save the animals" thing on the side. | |

Don't be too sure. Even if she maintains her California home, I think Minneapolis and the Prince connection will pull her. Not to be cynical, but now that Paisley Park is going to be a perennial tourist attraction, bringing in Prince fans from around the world, can you imagine how popular a Mayte dance studio/school with a gift/novelty shop would be in MLPS? Prince raved about her cooking, so she could even have a small vegan deli attached. She would have a waiting list. | |

And if Mani keeps up her quasi-widow of Prince shenanigans, she will soon find herself divorced and at a loose end there in Cali. Even she might find her way back to MLPS to run her charity. As they say, "There's gold in 'dem there hills." I'm just saying... | |

It's not like Mani moved to Minn. to live there for months to tend to her ex's business. She's attending a concert/celebration for him. Eric has attended many of the events with her. This isn't going to go on forever. It's just a few engagements she's attending like the rest of P's gang to mourn/celebrate him. This is still fresh to many and everything has been so sparsed out. No one big memorial where everyone can gather. Tributes everywhere, etc. She and the others need to do what they need to do to move on. | |

And just maybe Eric is so eager to be the supportive spouse because some of his old sex addiction issues have come up in their marriage? Nothing like letting a spouse do whatever makes them happy when you maybe be doing something wrong and got caught. Just guessing on my part. He may be "cured" from his issue/s.
I thought she moved on when she starting making love to,getting married and having babies with another man after P. Nothing says to me I have moved on more than creating other people with someone. lol I am just weird I guess | |

You said it all. If he doesnt "man up" and say okay honey I have supported you we have grieved and shared. Now enough is enough. Iam really gonna wonder if he is just accommodating her for some other reason/s. He too is divorced from another high profile celebrity and has admitted cheating on Halle and having sex issues. Iam sure just like her marriage to P being married to Eric is not with out it's issues as well even before we lost P.
It would really be a WTF moment if the lost of your first husband of over decade ago causes a riff in your current marriage. I hope that they are fine and doing fine and IF they are having an issue or anything is shaky with them, it's all the more reason I stood by the statement of Mani should be home with her family. Folks are always gonna talk. She should give us less to talk about. | |
