This is what I used to tell my sister all the time when she would be upset at the motivations of someone else...Don't forget the part that you made up. You think that's why someone would say or do whatever, but you don't know that's why this particular person is acting the way they are. That's EXACTLY what I've been thinking, too, CROWNS1!! Jill Jones' comments, in one of her interviews, are what got me thinking in these terms. Specifically, she talked about how they all were in love with him. Still, they all had to get along. If polygamy were legal, I wonder if P would have partaken.

That's all Iam saying . It's like now he is gone she wants to hold on to the last little bit of connection. Some of my non Prince fans who have no hate for Mani or really know any of the history.All gave the thumbs down on this situation. I got lots of WTF's lol My mom was like her memorial with the other ex was sweet. But said"it's time for her to sit her ass down with her own family now!" malbena: I do get where you're coming from on the social media posts. I feel that way about many people with their public posts on FB. Most are unnecessary and when you're getting a lot of hate anyway, why fuel the fire. But then, why care what people think, too? I would have a hard time being a fan of an ex-husband in a public way. I'd want to grieve privately. But most of P's exes (wives or otherwise) were circling around, if not in, the celebrity world. That's a different way of life than what I live so I try not to judge.

Exactly.

Why not just see the show without the fanfare? Especially when she has spent money hiring lawyers to convince a judge that her privacy is at stake and part of the complaint has to do specifically with social media postings about her as well as claiming that paparazzi were stalking her.

Why would you post your business on social media so that the very people you claim to want privacy from will know exactly where you are???



But as usual people want to make this about those of us who are pointing out the odd behavior rather than the one who is engaging in odd behavior.

Why is everyone so up in arms about Mani, but not about Mayte?! Mayte acts as if she was STILL married to Prince. I TOTALLY get the two of you lost a child BUT, you are not his widow. I think Mani has handled everything with class and grace. I dont understand why people dont like her. We have no idea how often her and Prince spoke in recent years and what their relationship was like. But, it's very clear Mayte and Prince were not in communication at all.

I think it's because Mayte has always given the impression that she never really moved on. Never remarried. I agree she needs to chill out and be at home with her kid too. BUT she is SINGLE. So it is odd too that she is so involved.....just not as odd as Mani in my opionion

Mani is MARRIED has two kids AND Eric has a teenaged daughter. He and Mani I guess have some sort of understanding. Eric and Mani dont give two snaps about my opinion....but to me it's just WEIRD to be involved with your ex husband of 10 years memorial events. ONCE IS/WAS ENOUGH I will bet money Eric's parents,his older daughter, and possibly Mani's parents/family are raising an eyebrow or two as well.

Even if P and Mani remained close spoke etc. The fact remains Mani has a WHOLE new life and lots of people connected thru her marriage that I bet are talking about her "classy and graceful" actions of acting like she a widow but has a living husband.

Let's not forget that these women loved him, dated him, married him, Mayte lost two kids with him. He abruptly passed away at a young age. People are still shocked. Fans, who never met him, never seen him in concert, etc., are grieving like crazy and want every ounce of everything Prince they can get, info, memorials, tributes, etc. Imagine what these ladies who were actually loved by this man are going through! It's only been a few months since his passing, so it's still fresh and raw to many. This was not just any man. This was one of the greatest musicians, performers, artists of all time who existed in their lives and ours. As I stated earlier, I'm surprised by the degree of Mani's involvement, but maybe I shouldn't be. She was his fan, his friend, his wife. Even though it's been years and they both moved on, it's still hard to let go. Mayte's involvement doesn't surprise, as I feel she never got over Prince.
