Let's be real. The mere fact that somebody was once in our lives doesn't necessarily prove good intent. If we are being honest rather than simply nostalgic we should remember that.

Show of hands, how many people on this thread were once into someone that they would stay as far away from as possible today? Thought so. They loved him but he moved on.....pay your respects and move on. That has nothing to do with taking your time to grieve...take as much time as you need.

Furthermore, absolutely NO one on this entire thread or site has said that any of these people should not pay their respects and grieve.....NO one.

The extent to which that grieving becomes a bit of a spectacle is what the discussion is about. And it is a valid topic, especially once people put themselves out there after so much whining about privacy.

Yep, before P left us, I never paid a lot of attention to these people either and will probably go back to that stance. Other than The Time and Sheila I have never followed anything these people were doing anyway. I just find the hypocrisy irksome.

I wish I could've taken a snap of Mani and Eric, they were arriving when we were leaving after the show and getting some pics with Jerome. Mani was wearing an above the knee red/black dress, she seems tall and was pretty thin, her man had his hand on her lower back walking by us. I had my nephew with and pointed them out...thought she was too traumatized to be out at an event where there was surely members of various web-boards in attendance, didn't she saw she was being stalked/harrassed by us?

I can honestly say that I respect folks like Susan and Brenda who showed there respects to Vanity and Prince and kept it moving. Even Nona who obviously had issues with Prince but she has left well enough alone and moved on with her life. Prince fans are very unique and alot of us have been around for 30 years or more we never met the man, we never knew him or married him, but through his gift he touched each and every one of our lives and some of us have stuck around after his death to keep it real and sift through all this bullshit just to keep the legacy of our hero legit and alive.

Its interesting too that every time a thread is created over the things that this woman does that particular mods always either shut down the thread or let it keep going to serve alterior motives and none of that shit would happen if Prince was still alive If U dont want threads created on the Org about you then stop going to every Prince related event and doing all things Prince...remember this lady divorced Prince cause she was tired of all "things Purple" how soon they forget
