Hubby was like, why didn't you show your face, now no-one believes it's you, I don't care. It was fun doing it, they asked for something creative...I surely didn't believe they would use some of it. These are women with humor. Gotta love them for it and yes, the song gets better with every listen... the cd is great and I wasn't that fond of that song but it grew on me. When doing the vid, it became better but it's definitely not one of the best songs. But it's a very good cd with some true gems on it. And have you seen what a ravage in here? Just for a video and a song???? | |

you know what? it's possible to appreciate prince for who and what he is, and it's possible to AT THE SAME TIME appreciate wendy & lisa for who and what they are. if you like one, you're not betraying the other by liking both. honest. prince and W&L are on different paths these days, artistically, philosophically, professionally. prince is probably one of the last true, real POP ICONS we're ever going to see, and he continues to embody that status. that means there is a distance between him and his fans, but on the other hand he offers an experience through his concerts and albums that is still that of a huge pop superstar. meanwhile, wendy & lisa are operating on another level, one that's more down to earth and accessible, and they're more hands-on in how they communicate with their fans. they don't want to be seen as pop music superhero mythological beings, but rather as people who really enjoy sharing what they do. i don't think prince has a problem with how W&L conduct their careers, and i don't think W&L have a problem with prince's icon status. so what's OUR problem? so W&L have made some barbed comments about prince here and there? well, so what! they were part of his family, and sometimes family bitches about each other. they've also said many times that they still love him to death and care about him. on the other hand, there have been reports and discussions out the wazoo about prince condemning W&L for their sexuality, yet he still contacts them from time to time to perform and record with him. it sounds like they have things worked out a whole lot better with each other than the fans do. so again...what's OUR problem?  | |

How about "Can't we all just get along?" Seriously, I am a huge fan of both Prince and Wendy & Lisa. I don't understand why there needs to be an either/or. You can like both and be perfectly content! For those of you who dislike the song, video, etc... You are definitely entitled to your opinion. I respect it and I would imagine Wendy & Lisa do too. However, there is no need to be rude and disrepectful. I would say the exact same thing if people were disrepecting Prince! Also, there seems to be a double standard! Has anyone ever wondered what Prince's "nether-regions" smell like? That's just rude and gross! Whether or not you like the song/video, you have to admit that it was nice for them to involve us fans. I LOVE W&L's old stuff, their 3 first albums, I have tried to listen to their new album, but I don't like it at all... 
Same with the Girl Bros. cd, I can't get into that either, the sound is so dark, very different to their "hit" material.  Prince 4Ever.  | |
