Hey, I said your bod is bangin' thumbs up! nod and I just answered girl's question. There's never been hate Robin, only REALITY. There is NOTHING you've presented that is desired by me. Its not my way. Honesty is though AND tough LOVE.

I do enjoy your art work and yet you never share that with us. I think that's where your talents are....

And thanks.....yes, God bless me and you! nod

So continue...I just wanted to answer girl66.

Leave Robin alone. She is trying to sell her merchandise. Just getting her hustle on. I am sure all the guys are enjoying the pics and we girls get plenty of P booty shots.

I also think its inappropriate for her or anyone to come on a site and tell stories that you know the other party wouldn't appreciate being told. In that storying tell, there's attention. Once again, sounds like folks would rather pimp her for the stories than think about what is the right thing. To talk about music with Prince, cool but to talk about having sex with him.....come on.

Rhonda...

01. This is Robin's career. I doubt she dresses like this when walking to the corner store to buy milk and bread;

02. If Robin wishes to speak about past relationships (for whatever reason), that's her own choice. We've all disclosed private information about our offline relationships with others from time to time. So what if one of her exes is Prince? If talking about him does get Robin's work more attention, that can only be a good thing. It's not like she's pimped Prince out by writing a book about him. Wouldn't that be worse?

03. Your incessant criticism of her business is bordering on the obsessive.

i have to agree and question what good a public scolding will do...in the end, is your point being heard by robin when its being delivered in such a critical and parental tone? and if you have shared your concerns with robin in private well...isn't that the more appropriate form of discussion? after all these threads are not supposed to turned personal. and you and others here on this thread have really really turned things personal against robin...

I love that Robin has come to us to share her stories, etc. There are so few Prince associates that do this and we should give her props for taking the time to talk to us.

the fact that she puts some hot picts of herself in there is frosting

Why would some orgers want to insult someone who was coming to us with such openness? Are you trying to scare people like Robin away?

So basically, its really not about Robin but what Prince stories she can tell?

So bascially, let's pimp out Robin for her stories so we can hear about Prince. That's what you're really saying. Guess what? Some things aren't our business.

I'm not trying to scare her away but to make Robin think more deeply about herself and the way she presents her "art". Eroticism is one thing but flat out T&A is another. Be thought provoking and different. Dime a dozen booty pics isn't going to take her or anyone to the next level nowadays. The climate isn't going for the objectification of women even if its cloaked in eroticism and positive sexuality. Folks are tired. Its a new day in the industry and overt sexual overtones are getting critized.

If she has more to offer, then let's see that. We have enough of our women of color bouncin' their asses all over the place and over-sexualizing themselves and calling it "ART".

I'd be impressed if she would show how to be sexy FULLY clothed. Show us Eroticism withouth being obvious. Why did it take so many views and no responses? Because its uninteresting and not innovative.

Personally, I think I've been honest and forth right AND actually SUPPORTIVE.
This is REAL Godly LOVE. I'd never pimp out a sister to get to know some celebrity and that's what some of ya'll keep saying, even in orgnotes.

Basically, let Robin show her ass so we can ask her questions about Prince is what is being said by some.

And Robin takes issue with Me? lol

You know you have a right to your opinion but, it Robin is doing this stuff because she wants to. I am sure know one is forcing her to pose for these pictures and as far as her stories are concerned I found them to be interesting. She did not say anything bad about P and really he has been around and sooner or later people are going to talk. I am pretty sure after almost 30 years in the public spotlight he must be aware of this.

And anyone who can't tolerate being asked why they're representing themselves a certain way in pics probably shouldn't post any pics in the first place neutral

But hey, lap it up & enjoy bananadance It's just stupid to jump on Rhonda for asking someone about the possibilities... exclaim

There is nothing wrong about asking questions to someone or even being critical. But I feel it's the way the question is asked and try looking past the pictures that she post on here. Her music may not be everyone's cup of tea but I feel thatif you don't have nothing good to say maybe it's best that it's left unsaid. Because in this business you have to promote yourself because the labels don't give a damn unless you doing a joint with Young Jeezy or some lame artist who thinks he is doing "real music". And I give mad respect to "Power" in what she is doing.

I guess you are right about one thing. I, for one, enjoy hearing stories about time people spend with Prince. I enjoyed all of Michael B's posts on the org, I enjoyed UPTOWN magazine, I enjoyed the interviews on Housequake with Susan Rogers, Alan Leeds and everyone else. I loved Per Nilsen's books, as well as so many other biographies, I like the liner notes on the greatest hits albums, I like Dez's book, I like interviews and articles about Prince, and I like it when other orgers post stories about meeting or working with Prince because I like knowing what went into recording his music, and what inspired his genius.

That said, I do think Robin is a grown up woman and can answer what you said herself. It just sounds like your questions are a little harsh, but that seems like it is an issue between you and her. She doesn't owe any of us anything, so I doubt she is going to grant your personal requests for her to tailor her artistic expression for you.

My question is obviously, if you don't like the images, why do you keep clicking on this link?

No offense, but the rest of us are going to keep enjoying her pictures, her words and her presence here on the org.

I'mma be done with this BUT I have to say: it's kind of amazing that simply asking someone to think critically for one second automatically gets boiled down to "hate", despite all the compliments lol I mean come on folks - is it really that simple? Is it so offensive to ask someone to just *think*?

Hell, I guess it's just easier to react instead, huh? bananadance

I, personally, haven't said that it is hateful, but it always makes me wonder about a person's head when they want others to "think" like they do, and don't accept that someone's 'art' may not always be what they would personally create. To try to reign in or shape an artist is a fool's game and an unfortunate sign of someone who wants the world in their own personal box. I don't think that they were hatin' on Robin necessarily, it seems like they are dealing with their own private issues about others in a public forum and not realizing how intolerant they sound. This is probably just an isolated incident, and I'm sure they didn't intend to come off like they did.

I felt the same way back in the 1980s when Tipper Gore wanted Prince to clean up his lyrics. Certain people just don't like images that they can't control, and don't get it when someone else likes something they don't.

It's art people! It's ROBIN's art.

As I said, the rest of us will continue to enjoy Robin's music, her words, her pictures, her insights and her presence here on the org.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. It's sad that people get called haters when they want to see more about a person than the obvious. Like you said, women can be sexy with all of their clothes on. And you know I think you are way hotter than this chick anyway. mushy

Does she really expect us to belive that someone like her (probably close to 50), still has a body like that? NOT!!! It is quite obvious that she is still trying to play off the fame of Prince to gain her own. She should try to get ahead by her own talents and not by some air brushed pictures/

I agree that we probably shouldn't delete Rhondab's post. Maybe we should give Rhondab a pass on this one. When you really re-read it, it seems like she is really dealing with her OWN issues and not necessarily with Robin. Sometimes when someone "tells it as they see it", they don't realize what they are projecting and I'm sure she didn't expect to sound as intolorant as she did regarding someone else's art. Telling it "how you see it" isn't the same as "telling it like it is!"

As most of us have said, we are happy to have Robin aboard, and if you don't like her posts, keep on moving.

Either way, Ms. Power is totally right... you can't airbrush video!

Rock on Robin!

Oh, PLEASE rolleyes To say, "I think you posted these pictures because you're narcissitic" is no worse than some of the member attacks that I've seen that weren't snipped--people being told to stfu and the finger emoticons and all the other nastiness. Everybody *ain't* being "protected". rolleyes

keep in mind no moderation action has been taken on this thread either. lol

come on now...don't get all pissy. just like folks who speed the cops arent going to find and ticket every single occurance of wrong doing...i just happened to come across this one or it too would have been missed. stop expecting 100% and realize we are just regular folks trying to make this place a better place.

and ive snipped the use of 'stfu' and 'fu' before...and would do it again if i felt someone misused them. so how you like them apples?

btw: hope your having a good day. hug
