New moderators, but no announcement? Or did I miss that? I see that PMM has 2 new moderators listed. Guess that is official enough!

I love the fact that Langbleu (how do you spell that dude's name?) is a mod.

that forum needs knowleagable people who are actually fans but not INSANE prince apologists.

And I think he fits the bill just fine.

What frustrates me though is that it seems all (or almost all) the mods are in the Americas.

Can't we get some European mods up in here? That way With the variation in timezones, you have

almost full coverage.

Also the P&R forum needs a conservative mod who isn't....erm.....insane.

All the mods here are liberals. (I'm a liberal too, but let's bring balance to the force.)

All the stickies in there make it look like a Prince Music forum without all the gossip!

But that gave me a great idea, maybe there could be one master sticky with the links to each era thread so it will still be accesible and even after the threads expire it could remain at the top as a sticky so newbies or lurkers can find a wealth of information in one spot and maybe it will answer their questions before they start a thread on it. <--(whew, that was one long run on sentence!)

Guess you can't make everybody happy because people been complaining about the need for a more 'Prince music focused forum' and now you have something of a solution and people complain about that.

Uh...no. A moderator deciding that his own threads are oh, so special and "sticky-worthy" isn't really making it more Prince focused.

That's a really good idea. OF4S's threads are really valuable, but of course they can't all be stickies, as is fast emerging as a consensus, so perhaps a sticky index thread is the best solution.

In any case, congrats to the new mods!!

I'd just like to take a moment to thank the new moderators for coming on board. I'd hate for the confusion over the stickies to overshadow the fact that the PM&M forum was badly in need of some attention and it's great that people have volunteered for the job. I was starting to worry that this site was heading the way of MoQuake, but the infusion of new moderators makes me feel more optimistic that prince.org might survive.

So, hooray for the new moderators!

Now back to our regularly scheduled arguing.

Congrats to both! Hopefully, mods will be added to other forums as well, to round it out. Certainly, kudos to the remaining few who are/were holding the fort!
