Agree that the PR of this is all going a bit wonky and the price hike is a bit weird!

I'm sure the show will be awesome again, but I think ticketed shows are the only way for me for the rest of this tour.

Time they sorted this out now.

Really? Back down to £10? That may be a brilliant bit of planning. Announce that it's £70 to put off the mildly curious and make sure only the real fans queue up, then drop it to £10 to reward them.

Yes but at £70 it would stop hundreds of curious non-fans from going along and queueing up. You would want to really see Prince to go along for £70. Obviously there will be real fans that can't afford £70 but that's no the point.

Fair point. There will be a few people who really don't have £70 to spare. But there will also have been people who thought "Well, for £10 I might as well check him out, even though I don't really know much about him". The £70 price would have eliminated those people. Nothing is foolproof, but on the whole I think this was a good way of doing things. Manage people's expectations, then exceed them - that's almost always a good plan.
