Hope these work, they are links to photos I took last night smile

Also if anyone is interested this is a Prince group for UK & Ireland based Prince Fans http://launch.groups.yaho...oup/NPGUK/

I have been told I MUST join NPGUK by someone I met at the hotel.

Just got home and have to say I am shattered and feel flat, need another purple high. Last night was great, all the hits for the crowd, it really was a crowd pleaser of a show. He had a point to prove last night and that point was most definitely proven.

Listened to the almost 3 hour sound check, and you just knew he wanted it perfect, and him arriving on stage at 8.10pm was a huge shock for me. wink

Gold, whilst great to hear live, should IMO not be an opener, and Lets Go Crazy, I personally thought he has some issue with the guitar, it sounded far too loud and I struggled to hear him sing.

Purple Rain was the best I have ever heard live, the energy from him and the crowd was a joy to witness. I was stood with all the 'massive' Prince fans, who as soon as Sometimes it Snow in April started, just looked at each other as if to say, what is this.

Loved hearing The Bird and Jungle Love, and him plucking those 2 little kids out was fantastic.

Malahide rocked, and we had a great afternoon in Gibneys too.

Hey Y'all... wasn't it amazing.. true genuis.. glad you all had a right Fonky time in Dublin.. Loved what he did.. loved The Bird and Jungle love as with all The Hits!!.. Sometimes It Snows in April is one of my favourites.. Fan for 24 years now..Great buzz right through the Malahide Village.. Was even sweeter as I live in Malahide.. Hope everyone enjoyed their stay.. Great buzz in the pubs before and after.. Duffys before.. Gibneys after!!.. Prince, Thank you for the music.. don't make it soooo long next time.. prince guitar

What a lovely little village Malahide is, really pretty and very friendly, and yesterday it was turned purple. As we arrived outside Gibneys yesterday, there was Prince music playing from everywhere, great vibe.

Thank u Prince - Am so glad I booked Malahide, cannot believe it has been 4 years since my o2 21 nights summer adventure but oh boy it was so worth the wait. It was sheer joy just to lose myself for a couple and a bit hours last night, I had forgotten how his music and seeing him live makes me feel, I sang, danced and cried (happy tears) so much that today I have no voice, but will be on a high for quite a while.

It was quite spooky after he played Purple Rain it did stop raining and there was a patch of pinky/purple in the sky 4 a while eek

There were so many highlights last nite for me, Prince - Please don't leave it another 4 years b4 you come back to England/Ireland

eye heart prince

cool

I was not even there...but you have summed it up

Thank you...

sad My hubby and me are staying at the Westbury and can tell you that PRINCE did not stay here last night - the backing group did they arrived back at about 1.00 am but the hotel have told us that PRINCE went straight to the airport after the show. Don't see any reason why they would lie to us but who knows.

Been to more than 30 concerts and would say last night's was brilliant - so glad we decided to book our flights and hotel and go for it - great night.

My brother and I went to the Hilton Dublin Airport after the gig for a few pints and a motorcade with a lot of police escorting it passed by at around 11.45pm. Given the direction it came from (i.e Malahide) I concluded it could only have been Prince, so I ran outside to get a glimpse. The car windows were blacked out so I didn't see the man himself but I waved like a maniac at the car.Sadly the motorcade did seem to be heading for the Airport.

when we were waiting in the field for the sound check to finish, i was talking with the guy from POD with the black shirt and big ear piece. he said Prince only arrived in Dublin on Saturady at 2pm but did not mention his departure. I am speculating Prince may commute to some of the gigs from Paris. He confirmed in sunday independent interview he now owns a home there so mabye he is availing of that opportunity rather than staying in hotels.

on another note, is anyone else having bad withdrawal symptons right now. i am matching some of the vids posted on youtube before they are taken down. after a 24 hour reflection, i have to upgrade my review from brilliant concert to mesopheric !!!

a great show - when was shhh played ? near the start I think

no great surprises with the song list but it was great to hear gold and him actually singing sign o the times, alphabet st and hot thing during the 'sampler' set that was also with the band

just seeing the list of songs I can understand why some would think it was a boring setlist - but we got 30 or so (nearly all) HITS that were at a good pace and full of energy - the crowd had great energy as well - the setting was perfect and the band tight as they pretty much played non stop for 2 1/2 hours

the first performance in Ireland of a 'hits' show so I think he hit the nail on the head

obviously long time fans like myself would have liked some rarer gems - but I don't think any of us there have any reason to complain - they really delivered and I actually believe him when he said he would remember this one

I'm having terrible withdrawal symptoms right now. The concert was absolutely mind blowing. it was so cool to see little malahide village gone Prince wild! Went to tripod after on the off chance, and staff there thought he might turn up for a while, but no go.
Thank you Prince for an amazing concert. It was fabulous from start to finish. My favourite bits were Gold and If I was Your Girlfriend, but it was all absolutely mind blowingly cool.

I feel exactly the same but have to get back on track ready for work. Still in Dublin but flying back today. Spoke to a couple of the NPG in the hotel - think they enjoyed the show as much as we did. Hope you soon feel better - the show was great - here's to the next one.
