It's #19 if you count the two Troubador shows, three HOB shows and 1 George Lopez Show. I know it sounds like a stretch, but it adds up.

GEORGE LOPEZ SHOW: April 13 = 1 show

FORUM: April 14, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, 30 = 7 shows

FORUM: May 5, 6, 7 = 3 shows

TROUBADOR: May 11 = 2 shows

FORUM: May 13, 14 = 2 shows

HOUSE OF BLUES: May 25 = 3 shows

FORUM: May 27, 28, 29 = 3 shows

TOTAL: 21 shows

That's 21 shows in the LA area. Technically, it's only 18 nights, though. Then again, one Troubador show and one HOB show started at or after midnight. So if you want to get technical, it's 18 nights and 2 mornings.

I'd be the happiest guy on the planet if he played half that many shows here in Houston, so I can't see where anyone has a right to complain.

You guys are going to have serious withdrawal symptoms. In NY/NJ we only had him sporadically Dec/Jan and first week of Feb..and was really nice to be able to go to a great concert if you choose. I went to 3..I wish I had gone to more. It was addicting and I am so glad I went so many times. I will go again whenever they are near..and I met great people via the concerts..

You all will be suffering from the blues with lack of shows on teh weekends:)

As far as I know, he has no formal plans for the next few weeks, so anything is possible, and since Prince is one of few artists that doesn't fully depend on anyone other than himself to be available, in order to do a show, my mind has re-opened to the idea of him doing more L.A. performances. And yes, I heard a couple of people saying last night, that there are more to come next weekend. But the people that appear to have much more reason to know the facts, have been pretty adamant that tonight is the end of the run.

So, I'll split the difference: Since no one has formally announced ANYTHING that Prince will be doing over the next couple of weeks that would prevent him from doing more shows AND cleary this 21 Night Stand is ending more successfully (per box office standards) than the way it began, I'll take a wait and see approach right along with you.

Obviously Prince is not just doing this for fun or art; he has a foreclosed house (alledgedly) and downloading has really cut into catalog sales. Prince does not create new music that sells either. He probably chose the Forum partially because I imagine it doesn't cost much to rent it. Not criticizing at all; he needs and deserves to be paid, and these days touring is how artists make money.

So after this weekend, with the tickets all sold out full price, with only Colonnades going for $25, I can see him doing another weekend.

All he has to do is keep annoucing that "next week is the last weekend" and he'll sell-out.

So bummed tix for this weekend were so impossible to come by. We've already seen the show, but had a group of friends that wanted to experience it. We were ready to purchase 8 tix and caravan down there - one big ole purple party

So I wonder how that compares to renting the Hollywood Bowl, Staples, Arrowhead, or other premier venues. It's got to be less; the Forum has peeling paint, cracks in the walls, horrendous sound, and two ATMs to cover 18000 people.

No, he doesn't have a foreclosed house, it was plot of property which had taxes due and those have been paid.

Well at the end of Purple Rain, which is also where he did his tribute to the bands that he saw at The Forum, he repeated "21" a few times and when he was lowered under the stage he kept flashing 2 and 1 with his fingers. It felt like #21 to me.
