rherscheid

Been to North Sea Jazz a few times.

Normally the stage with North Sea Jazz is on the long site of "Maas" instead of the small site.

That's the reason the capacity is less with North Sea Jazz.

But the good thing is, that you have a good few from all seats.

C u there:-D

Considering that guest appearances are not unlikely (Chaka Kahn, Larry Graham, Bootsy Collins, Mavis Staples, Candy Dulfer, Janelle Monáe are also on the North Sea Jazz line up) it might be wise to buy a 3 day ticket for the festival plus 3 additional Prince tickets, total: € 329 (ex administration costs). If you buy 3 seperate Prince tickets you pay € 267 and are not allowed in the other concerts before the Prince concerts.

Great idea! Was debating whether to go

But how did you figure out the price of the 'plus' tickets? I can't find any information on it anywhere...

Maas is not the entire normal Ahoy ..

Just a other part of Ahoy.. I read somewhere.

Ahoy' is the complete complex.

Sportpaleis or 'Maas' during Nort Sea Jazz is part of the complex and normally used for concerts and therefore in general referred to as Ahoy'. the capacity of Maas is 15818.

But as rherscheid mentioned, during North Sea Jazz the stage in the Sportpaleis is not at the small side of the hall but on the long side: almost half of the hall is not used for the audience.

This is the first time in the renovated Ahoy, so things might be a bit different. I guess we'll know for sure in a few days. smile

Also note that on live nation, the tickets for plus concerts will be sold one day in advance, May 12. So people who already have a ticket for the other artists will have a priority.

I can't seem to find that info, where did you read this?

It was on the live nation site, but it seems that they deleted it. Though someone at moquake called live nation and they confirmed that plus tickets will be sold a day in advance. I guess we'll have to wait and see...

Guys - and dolls - carefull with that. In Holland there's been a lot of fuzz going on lately for these 'advanced tickets' buros telling they're selling. what happend - was investigated - is this: you buy online from such office, you pay, you get a sort of receipt. Next day, it is that office's duty to obtain tickets in order to resell to you. in other words, if they don't succeed, they will politely answer you and return you're money. now this last bit is good otherwise you will really end up scr*wed. But be carefull if you choose to buy at such places.

Everyone: let the games begin and all have fun!

I know what sites you mean, they're selling the tickets before they have them at 200€ and more, but It was on live nation. This is the site that also sells the normal tickets. It would make sense to sell one day in advance to people who already have a ticket of NSJ.

I am a bit confused. On Saturday 9th I wanted to go and see Prince but also to spend the day at the Festival. Am I able to try to buy the Prince Plus Concert ticket first, and then buy the Day ticket afterwards as I know you need both? I don't want to buy the day ticket first and then find out that I can't get hold of any Prince Plus Concert tickets afterwards as I'm planning on coming from the UK. Can anyone help ?????

Depends on time of travel. you will have to pass Antwerp, that can take a lot of time in rush hour traffic. I would count on at least 4 hours. (not counting stops an search for parking space).

Concert starts after 24.00h. So technically there is no concert at friday, but saturday.

The 'saturday' concert starts on sunday, but the 'sunday' concert starts at 23.45-ish, so that is 2 concewrts on sunday. one at 01.00 and one at 23.45

According to the NRC (newspaper and official partner of NSJF) there will be 9.000 tickets available for each of his concerts.
