Thanks... But I didn't manage to get any. All sold out now. Shit. I was trying for two hours now. I already was at checkout (TWICE!!!), entered all my billing info. The first time the order couldn't be processed, and after I tried to enter my info in again, my session timed out. I was right back at the beginning. After that I called them, and they kindly informed me that I'm screwed. Guess I should have called earlier.

I tried buying the tickets earlier today. I had to be at my college all day long, so I dragged my laptop with me so I would be able to get the damn pieces of paper. I was already buying my tickets and then my internet connection died. It continued to be dead throughout the day, despite my desperate attempts to ressurect it. The only time I was able to try buying them on another computer, ticketservice decided it would be a good idea to display those fucking server errors again.

This has to be the worst ticket sale ever. Each time I refreshed there was a different combination of tickets still available. What the hell are those morons doing over there?!?!

And I had it all planned out. To be so close and yet so far... I hate ticketservice. Words can't describe how much.

Anyway, sorry for the long rant, I had to get it out of my system and pour out my pain.

When people select the seats they want, those seats are reserved so no one else can snatch the seats while they check out. Seats that are put on hold are released again if people don't finish the check out procedure in 5 minutes. Then there's also other people trying to get tickets of course so one minute the seat is available and the next it's gone.

I doubt you really care, but that's why you got different results every time you refreshed.

Well yeah that is a bit confusing, I got day-tickets for saturday and matching tickets for that night.
The tickets for the Prince show indeed say;

But they also say;

DEZE PLUSKAART IS ALLEEN GELDIG I.C.M. EEN DAGKAART ZATERDAG,

EEN 3-DAGENKAART OF EEN ALL IN KAART.

So I guess for them (TM/Ticketservice) it's still saturday at 01:15.

Yes, I have a ticket for the friday show, that is friday night to saterday night at 1:15.

On the ticket it says Friday July 8th 1:15. So this is a ticket for the first night.

I hope my explanation makes sense.

Standing behind the 1st Tier and under the 2nd Tier, for example:

Behind AF and under EF (and that along the whole left and right side of the Arena. Not at the backside as I recall.)

You can choose where you're standing by yourself,

but be aware that everybody wants to stand as close by the stage as if you've got floorstandings.

But the best part is that you can stand behind the best seating-section there is.

Tip: When you enter the Ahoy, walk to the opposit side of the Arena, standing places are less full from the beginning because you have to walk a greater distance ( C&G section I believe )

Confusion!

The NSJ festival starts on Friday July 8, the second day is Saturday July 9 and the third and last day is Sunday July 10.

Prince closes every day of the festival, so performs on the Friday at 01:15 (what in the real world is Saturday), on the Saturday at 01:15 (what actually is Sunday) and on the Sunday at 23:45 (or 11:45 PM, what actually is... well... Sunday ).

Take The A Train!!

So if you got a ticket for Friday 8 July at 01:15 do not come on Thursday night, but go to Ahoy on Friday night and enjoy the Prince Friday-night concert that actually starts in the morning of Saturday July 9.

One more?!!!

And (more important I guess) if your ticket states Saturday 9 July 2011 01:15, your time to approach Ahoy' is Saturday evening - you'd have to wait a very long time if you show up on Friday (July 8) evening to attend the Saturday 9 July 2011 01:15 concert...

Why PM? Why not share your experience dealing with Ticketmaster like the phone number 00 31 10 5927125 that has been shared by Nonesuch earlier in this thread that might have given you the opportunity to buy tickets last Friday or today?

There are tix for all shows available right now. So If anybody need one.... The bigger problem might be, that there are no affordable hotels in rotterdam anymore during the north sea jazz.

I´ve been to NSJ for four times now and I have to say I love the festival. It´s very relaxed, mostly a fatastic sound, all, really all kind of music, good food, good drinks, good smoke.

Like it much more than montreux, cause it all happens in three days not in two weeks.

Yep, same problem here again today. You are not alone, my friend. After I confirmed my transaction (I was happy to see tickets available again today), a message pops up that there was a problem with my order. No other info, just that. Phone service is weird too. I love how I'm just waisting my time and money trying to get those damn tickets. This shouldn't be so hard!!

If you live abroad, try this number 0031 10 5927125. Be patient and at last you will get through the line and get the tix if there's still any left. I got all my arena standing tix by phone yesterday.
