When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

Just got back from the show....tonight was sooo much better than last night! The place was pretty much full (at least it looked it from top to bottom)....the energy was really high....the whole place jumpin' and partying. Shelia E tore it up with Glamorous Life....the place was going crazy....she was throwing her sticks into the crowd while playing....banging those drums harder than I've seen her before....she was totally feeding off the audience and when she stopped....the crowd was going nuts...she took a step back and was like "woooo sh**T!" She was totally in the zone....looking at the whole place going crazy for her....the energy was on fire!

Tonight was just faint I didn't want it to end! so much dancing jig I took my brother who had never gone to a Prince concert and I think he screamed more than I did giggle

Prince and Gwen singing "So far So Pleased" mushy

I finally got to hear "Cool" live! woot!

I was not expecting to hear "Something in the Water" or "Strange Relationship" excited

Got to hear one of my top favorites "If I was your Girlfriend" faint

A young man got to come up and dance with the ladies, he got down, wonder if he is on the org?

Someone also tried taking a picture with him on stage and Prince grabbed her phone and threw it out into the VIP area giggle wonder if she got it back lol

I went Thursday which was fun but tonight was just mind blowing! the energy in that place was unbelievable! dancing jig

Rhythm floods my heart♥The melody it feeds my soul

That was a hot set. Blazin' hot. No opener and not the three-hour plus extravaganza reported by Dr Funkenberry...but that's not a criticism, just an observation. Best way I can describe it is just that: a blazing hot, tight, funky full of fun set. Hightlights 4 me: Nothing Compares To U was church up in there...P has what appears to be a real, sincere chemistry and connection with Shelby; they play off of each other very well and she can def sang her face off. Whole Lotta Love was hot...Something In The Water...are you kidding me..? I don't know how many in the audience knew what that was or how special it was to hear P play it alone on the piano like that. One of "those" special moments. Strange Relationship rocked. Sexy Dancer...what?!? Couldn't believe that and the le Freak lyrics actually worked...if that's what it takes to get P to play the old sexier songs, I'm all for it. During the sample set he actually sang more than the usual snippets of Doves and Sign O' The Times. Wish he would stop dicking around with the samples and play the damned songs straight through again; I never got to hear him do SOTT live and it's been years since he did Doves. Hearing Party All The Time was weird...the audience was like, WTF? LOL All in all...hot.

I did all three shows this weekend as an experiment, to see if I could hang and if I would get tired of it. All I can say is...I ain't bored yet, and I can't wait to see what he's going to do next weekend. Forum was packed tonight, sold out, colonnade was open and every seat up there was filled in it appeared. So the lower attendance seems to be attributable to it being a Thursday night versus a lack of interest...we'll see what it looks like next week. See you there.

wow wow wow.....tonight marked the 10th Prince show I've been to in my life and it did NOT disappoint!!!

Gwen singin the song that Prince penned for No Doubt while he played guitar. Sheila absolutely killing it on "Glamorous Life" like I've never seen her do before. She was on point and the audience went absolutely insane (as someone pointed out earlier on this thread) And she did that song while wearing a floor length very form fitting silver gown too!!!

Prince's entire performance of Kiss was delish....his moves had the women in the audience screaming for more....major ass shaking on Prince's part and the jumbo trons got closeups of his behind numerous times in all it's glory.

Prince danced and smiled soooo much during this show. It was truly contagious. He was like a kid in a musical playground.

Can't wait to catch more of these shows before he leaves LA! At $25, you just can't say no!

My crew went on an adventure tonight, but I swear through that adventure there was alot of Prince music involved and a bunch of laughing and grooving. We had nosebleeds so we spent the whole concert walking around on the second level and dancing everywhere haha, it was comedy.

I'm sure many of the older black fans knew that song by Led Zeppelin, which was played non-stop back in the day on the radio;the younger fans, well, maybe not so much.lol

Oh yes, me too!! With every concert review I read my desire to be there gets even more unbearable!!! Love the excitement and I'm so happy that Prince is thrilling audiences night after night, but I feel like I am missing out on something really really special. *big sigh*

Especially to be able to go again and again, and getting something surprising every time ... Prince is really spoiling LA big time!!! I envy everyone who gets to enjoy this ride, but I am happy about it all at the same time!! Thanks for sharing the excitement, you lucky guys!! biggrin

Man, I don't remember exactly which song it was - perhaps it was during "Kiss" - but twice the band stopped playing it and it was just John playing kick and snare and I SWORE - *I SWORE* - they were about to launch into "IT." I mean, they most definitely WERE playing the opening beat to "IT" if only for a few seconds each time. That would have been the ONLY thing that could have made this unbelievable, incredible show any better. "Something in the Water Does Not Compute" just Prince at the piano?? Are you kidding?? I was Loge 7 row E I must've been 25 feet from that piano with a far better view than anyone on the floor when that went down. Are you kidding me?? That more than makes up for no Amel Larrieux. Then he does "Strange Relationship" and RIGHT AFTER "How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore"?? People - a hundred, two hundred, three hundred years from now - the ENTIRE WORLD will be marveling over this man's catalog - and whether 1,000 live DVDs eventually come outta the vault or not - NONE will have AN INKLING of what the TRUE live experience was like. We are the luckiest people that EVER LIVED.
