Prince geeft een extra concert in Nighttown
Van onze verslaggever
http://www.volkskrant.nl/...72090.html

Twee keer eerder maakte His Royal Badness zijn opwachting in Nighttown.

You still don't get it?
Paying extra is unexpected but if poor little Prince needs the cash, OK, no problem.
It's this, the changing of the rules, the extra presale through the site (why not pay at the door? it appears that NPGMC will not sell all tixx) which causes stress.

In short: why do things have to be different over here?
If Nighttown has something to do with it: he better get real management.

udo

Seems that U dont get it as wel.

It 4 sure aint about the money (at least not for prince). If so, he would have hired a larger venue.
The ammount we're talking about is peanuts.

That they announce it as an extra show instead of an aftershow MUST have other reasons than money.(we'll probably know why after this gig)

So, if after this nighttown-performance, U still feel betrayed, then complain as much as U can, only THEN U have a reason for complaining, not now, when no details are known.

Maybe we can discuss this over a beer on saturday / early sunday ? biggrin

2nd of november is on a saturday this year...

Why is everybody complaining, be happy 2 see the man in such an intimate, small venue. I went 2 the first Paradiso show 25th of march 1995) and it was fabulous, I'm glad I paid the little extra money.
So make sure you get in, it's a real experience.

I would really like to know what that has to do with anything ? Nothing as far as I can see.

But I see your point, you can't convince anyone of your pointless drivel so you result to disrespecting people to try and prove your point, well I guess it isn't workin boy.

And as for being dissapointed...
The only thing I am dissapointed is the attitudes of a few pathetic whiners, but I guess you can't expect very much from a pathetic whiner except pathetic whining...

I already have my 2 tickets to my concerts Stylecipation. SO your point is pretty useless, and judging from your idiotic pointless comments, I guess you are too...

This is in 2day's "Leidsch Dagblad"...members will have a chance of buying tix through presale first. If there r tix left after this presale Nighttown will sell these seperately...

Yeah! I really hope to be able to get a ticket for this 'extra concert' in Nighttown, since I AM a NPGMC member and DIDN'T get a ticket for the two regular shows.
As far as I understand the newspapers, people who have been to the Nov 2nd show on a member-ticket are allowed in for free, so when that is the case, everybody's happy, right?

This is a nonsense trial by people always complaining about everything...

Don't you understand that if this is a another show there will be an afterparty thing.. Or the prices could be even lower!!!

He is playing an extra concert with a smaller venue: come on guys this amount of money means nothing compared to the money made during the tour!!!

Open your eyes: there will be another concert: don't expect it to be free, it is totally normal and i don't see where it sucks!!!

People get to your senses!!! What would you do if your ran an independant business...

A useful information about the aftershow:

NPGMC is sending e-mails to the members telling there is 2 extra late night concerts in Paris (Le Bataclan) and Rotterdam (Nighttown), after the regular shows. Tickets for Paris are sold right now at the retail section at.. 100$ per ticket!!! WHAT'S THIS? I thought i had the after for free with my premium ticket. I have spent a lot of money to go to Rotterdam from Spain for the November 2nd concert. Does Prince want me to go to bankruptcy? The assistants to London had the right to a free after and me not? am I a stupid?

Dear Winterman,

I think I'm a stupid because I'm afraid I'll pay the 100$... and I'm afraid a lot of people will do... This world is full of stupids and Prince knows it... money matters 2night again! But in the time of renew my membership to NPGMC, maybe I won`t be so stupid...

Tokyo

I have posted this to NPGMC a short time ago...

Good afternoon NPGMC,

Can you clarify the club's position on something for me please? I feel slightly hard done by reading the latest concert news on your site, I have bought tix for the week long Xenophobia Celebration this year, 3 London concerts and had access to an aftershow, as part of my London ticket on Oct. 5th. I have a ticket for Rotterdam on Nov. 2nd also - the first set of tickets went on sale some weeks ago, so having spent a lot of money following Prince, and supporting the NPGMC this year it now seems very unfair to me that having spent all of this money, on the off chance that once in a while I will be rewarded with something one-off or special [i.e. an aftershow on the last night of the European Tour], which was always going to be a possibility, NPGMC now says that I have to buy another ticket! Can this be accurate?
At every stage of this tour members have never been asked to pay for 2 shows in one night, part of the privilege of being a ticket holder for the main show was that we got into special events, be they parties or additional concerts later on that night. This to me is unreasonable and unfair, will Prince now play a much shorter show earlier in the evening, and save himself for the few who turn up to this late night one-off show? It isn't fair to treat people, who support this club and its ideas, this way. Financially and in terms of my time I have invested a lot in this club, but now at the last minute I'm asked to pay for more tickets to an event, which at any other stage of this tour, I would have been guaranteed free entry to? That does not seem at all fair, is this a money issue? Please try and respond to me on this, I just don't understand why this has happened...can you clarify the position in light of what I've just said?

Yours sincerely,

How can it be fair to change the rules of the tour and make members pay twice as much for 'One Nite' only?

This is wrong...I simply can't afford it, is there no reward for loving this music so much?

There you go,

prince didn't loose his head,
proof:

1500 x 100 = 150 000 euro for the memberships
10000 x 60 = 600 000 euro for the main concert
1200 x 100 = 120 000 euro for the 'extra concert'
total gros = 870 000 euro for one day in Holland.

this is pure genius at work
(een slordige 35 000 000 BEF)

I think I'm going to Holland to for a couple of days,
but there's one small problem,
who's gonna pay to see a sorry looser who's gonna sponser
princes day-off (or is it off-day ? ) in Holland ?

nuts

little mistake in the maths, DAMN.

Why don't we all protest and not buy tickets for $100 and give Prince his One Nite Alone aftershow concert with people who don't give a fuck about him but want to be present so they can rap about it at work on Monday???

Consumers protest! Don't buy $100 tickets for a show you were entitled free access - well at an earlier stage in the tour...

it is an idea.

But that's just the problem,
I enjoy the boot more
if i've been to the show,
so it makes the boot more value for money if I pay prince.

Is this prince-logics or am I really going crazy ?

Indeed.

I propose:

WHY $100?

on a few 100 a4 sheets (landscape) to be help up by soundcheckgoers (who will go to the Bataclan as well).
