Bullshit. It just looks like he and/or NPGMC will change the rules for this occasion which causes stress. Everything appeared to be more or less nicely organised and now this picture changes.

It's the last concert in Europe, at the end of the only extra concert, in the country he loves the most, where, at the first concert, the most NPGMC members were.

So, I will go, no matter what. If, afterwards, I have the feeling that he's done something wrong THEN I will complain, but not upfront, when nothing is officially announced and details are unknown.

Just one thing... I was at the Dublin Gig, I will be going to the Oberhausen one and the rotterdam concert as well.
Just be able to witness the so called "soundchecks" is worth the $100 I had to pay for the NPGMC.
In fact, the dublin soundcheck was more intimate then the afterparty at the spirit.
You get a better treatment, no pushing, at least not to that extend as in '88 when my girlfriend almost fainted outside de kuip, after 8 hours sitting & standing in cue.

While I have felt that dutch people may have had too great expectations for the 1st concert (and that probably because they are the greatest Prince fans...), in this case they are not whiners, but on the contrary they are right.

If what stated so far turns out to be true, the fans who have bought the ticket for the Ahoy concert on November 2nd are somewhat cheated. I know, I know... no guarantee of an aftershow... But except for once in Manchester (and maybe Stockholm?), Prince always appeared for an afterparty. Now this little advantage given by NPGMC membership is not there anymore for that concert: in other words devoted fans already know in advance that for them there is NO EXTRA after the regular concert... unless they pay more (and actually unless they are able to go through the painful internet purchasing of a limited number of tickets !!!)

I think that Nighttown gave the NPG free use of their club the first time but asked to be paid for the second party, so NPGMC is going to sell 500 tickets and Nighttown will get 500 tickets to sell. That's fair to the club. They need to get some money out of this too.

O.k., back to the point:

The NPGMC considers this "aftershow" as being an extra concert.

Just leaving the "he wants extra cash"option out of perspective, what else could be the reason for this ?

Pure speculation is what's left; here's some:

* a special concert in terms of setlist or (acoustical) performance for his most dedicated fans before he leaves the continent ?
* filming (like then with sott, an extra concert was given to record extra footage for the movie) for a DVD to go with the announced live album ?
* introduction party & performance of the live CD set ?
* handing out signed ONA live CD's ?
