Go Shopping For My Daughter!!

Please!?

lol

As many of you know, her birthday is on the fourth and I have no idea what to get for her. She is going to be six. Her dad is buying her a new bike, because she out-grew the one I bought for her last year... so that's out of the question. She has a gazillion Barbie's and Barbie play junk, which, she had to have and never plays with. She really doesn't play with toys, so pretty much, the majority of toys are out of the question.

I've asked her what she would like and she shrugs and says, "I don't know". eek

I mean... I know my daughter, obviously, but I seriously cannot think of a thing to get her.

Her likes:

Make-up (which I'll probably buy her new gloss, etc.)
Clothes (Usually boring for a birthday)
Nail Polish (Already bought some to give to her)
Pretty things for her bed (can't fit many more "pretty" things on there)

I was thinking of maybe taking her to the salon to get a new hair style, but... I don't know. She's six. That's not really gonna be too much fun for a six year old when she's expecting to open something. I mean, I'm sure she'd enjoy it... well, you all know what I mean.

HELP!

Books are always a good option...although BARBIES are the absolute favorite!

There's not a shortage of them either...how many different kinds are there? lol

I have a 6 yr old girl too...let me ask her, and i'll get back with you...
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Yes! Ask her and tell me what she says!

Barbie is the worst! I HATE Barbie! I go down the Barbie aisle and I become nauseous. I mean... just... ACK!

I would go with books, but, between her and my son they have oodles of them. I've not thrown out a book of theirs since they were born and constantly get them new ones. And, to be quite honest with you, she doesn't seem to care to even learn to read. Her idea of reading is looking at my fashion magazines. And, I refuse to purchase another Barbie! lol...

Kids can be sooo funny...

Ok, I asked...first response..."BARBIES!"

I told her no barbies...

so she thought some more...

2nd response..."BARBIE POOLHOUSE...it doesn't come with any barbies"

Sounds like you definately have a 'girly' girl, just like mine.
Mine likes purses...she's got about 5 of them ALREADY! Those initial purses are
hot right now.
Oh, and we just bought her an initial bracelet, with her name spelled out in those
"BLINGY" rhinestones...Mervyns has them. She LOVED that.

Good luck...

That is cute!! Yeah... maybe I should just go the route of purses and a new wallet to put in it, a few more charms for her bracelet, head to Mervyns and get her a "bling-bling" rhinestone one (great idea!!), and some new gloss and then... after she has her new outfit with accessories, we can go and get her hair cut and styled... or something. It just doesn't seem very... I don't know. All... eek like! You know?!

Get her some arts and crafts stuff. Most little girls that age love that kind of thing. Go to a store like Michaels and check out the kids section, they have tons of stuff!

Ah... I wasn't even aware that you posted. You crept up on me. Beer wouldn't work. She says that beer is for "big bellied boys". She did ask me if she could have "Sam Paine" for her birthday. (She likes to drink sparkling grape juice out of a champagne glass. Sam Paine... she kills me!

I have a seven year old daughter who loves gift cards. I usual get her a few giftcards from her favorite stores. She enjoys getting pedicures as well. So, if its not a gift card from her favorite store, its a gift certificate for a few pedicures.

does she like to ride horses or ponies, Azure? I know I LOVED to do that when I was little. There have to be some stables around your area that rent out horses for a few hours...
