Uhm, them choosing "professions that are typically safer, cleaner and more flexible" (BTW, what are those) surely does not account for it sufficiently at all. You think women in general have the same chances in worklife has men do? No way.

The professions I am talking about are any of the female-dominated professions: office work, child care, education versus construction, factory work (much of which has gone away for men, incidentally), etc.

I am not arguing that sexism does not exist. But, yes - I do think that women (by and large) have the "same chances in worklife" as men. More women than men achieve college degrees, for example. But fewer of them get degrees in STEM fields or business - which matters to their future prospects.

Why yes XxAxX! I've been to Japan 3 times and have seen Mt. Fuji but did not climb it. My son did make the trek with some of his classmates to see the sun rise.

Since he speaks, reads, and writes 4 languages (Japanese included) there were no tour buses, english only restaurants...etc. Ok, to Americans 4 languages is Wow! To the rest of the world it's probably...only 4??????

It is an incredibly beautiful country with an incredibly interesting culture that I could spend pages rambling about.

I did not know about this forest but did know about the high incidence of suicide in the country (including jumping in front of bullet trains)

Logan Paul is an embarrassment....as if we Americans needed something else to lower our credibility
