You haven't seen Constantine featuring My Dawgs, Keanu Reeves & Shia LaBeouf? You should watch it over the weekend..It's a good Sci-Fi thriller..

i really loved 'a ghost story.' it's one of my favourite movies of this year - i currently have it slotted as my #3. definitely not something to dive into if you're just looking for some easy-going, escapist fun, but if you're in the right mood for it i think it's really great.

i liked the lobster a lot as well, though i personally found the first half much stronger than the second. if you know that director's other movies (dogtooth, alps, killing of a sacred deer), you'll have a general idea of what to expect.

i'll second 'ghost story' and 'lobster'...

'daddy's home' is a lot of fun. my son and i have watched that a couple of times. mark wahlberg has great comedic delivery.

'kramer vs. kramer' is and excellent dustin hoffman performance. particularly resonant if you were a child from any sort of broken family.

'miss peregrine's...' i slept through most of at the theater with my son...it seemed the kind of neil gaiman/harry potter 'lite' that is in vogue with whatever generation is aged 12 to old enough to have their entire body tatooed within a sixth month span of reaching drinking age.

Accountant, The - Pretty good, I liked this movie a lot.

Conjuring, The - I think I've seen this and I'm pretty sure I liked it. Sorry, not much help, am I?

Speed - HECK YEAH! GREAT action movie! One of my favorites!

Haven't seen most of these, and some I've seen weren't for me. But I did and still do love About A Boy, and the classics Kramer vs. Kramer and All the President's Men.

I'm gonna watch the first two Mad Max movies. I hope to see "The Disaster Artist" but I'm not sure I'll be able to squeeze in "The Room" first. Maybe I can go to a draft house this Saturday night after church.

BTW, the movie house that shows "The Room" at midnight apparently only shows it one weekend a month - and this weekend ain't it. BUT.....they ARE show THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIE OF ALL TIME at 11:59 PM Saturday night!

You said the best Christmas movie of all time and yet you mistakenly put up a picture of Die Hard. It's a great movie (I love the whole trilogy) but it's no match for Home Alone.

Well to get things back on track, from your list I'd recommend W, assuming that's the George Bush movie and not another movie by the same name. It's really good and although sometimes Josh Brolin's portrayal goes a bit too far into comedy impressions territory, he's otherwise really good in the role. I liked the Ghostbusters remake. It was a bit of a slow start, but overall it was good. Somehow I have it in my purchased digital movies on Ultraviolet, etc. I've never purchased or rented it. I have a few in there like that. I guess I got some free stuff over time. I got freebies when I was on Vudu. Thankfully, Disney, Vudu, etc etc are all in one spot now.

And as I've approached fifty (the event is next March), I realized I don't have time for OCD anymore. HAHAHA

If you do remove anything from your list, I'd recommend a few Irish movies to you to take their place. These are legendary in Ireland, especially in Dublin. I've never met anyone here who didn't like them. The Commitments The Snapper The Van I showed them to my ex, who's from the States, and he loved them, even though he wasn't entirely sure of what the characters were saying half the time. They are movies made and set in Dublin so all the characters have heavy Dublin accents. My ex was also taken aback by some of the language used because there's "fucks", "cunts", "pricks" and "bollockses" thrown around with reckless abandon. Which is a very accurate portrayal of Dublin, in fairness. But they're all very very funny movies and even though you'd probably have to have spent some time here to get every joke, you'll still really enjoy them.

This is a great recommendation; love it. You won't be disappointed.
