Thank you for wading into this testosterone nonsense EmmaMcG. Exellent avatar you've got there. Sorry for the poor gammar, I was speed typing at times and not composed fully in my poor noggin. So what, would you rather we men turned off the Sunday game and paid you some attention, or are you happy to have us distracted with something so you can have some time to yourself?

The grammar doesn't really bother me, I'm just teasing. Whatever makes you happy. I watch American football sometimes too. I don't fully understand all the rules but I know enough to enjoy it. It can be hard to watch it over here (Ireland) though because due to the time difference, the games don't be on until quite late. But when I DO watch it, The Patriots are my team.

Oh my, that's a deal breaker for me. I guess we'll never be lovers because the Patriots are the team I hate the most in the entire NFL when I do watch the NFL, which is usually the Super Bowl. Everyone watches the Super Bowl now right? We're all looking for half-time celebrity nudity! But the quarterback Tom Brady? Seems like he can win it all and never crack a smile. Why so serious, Tommy? I like the Seattle Seahawks, when they won it all they were super happy, and it was a huge team effort. When I look at the Patriots' helmets, the guy looks just like John Kerry, the current Secretary of State, who ran for president in 2000. It's weird.

That's OK. I'm spoken for anyway. I have no real affiliation for the patriots and could only name 2 or 3 of their players. The main reason I started supporting them in the first place was I put a bet on them to win against my ex's team and they won. So I just sort of supported them ever since.

By the way, do you like or dislike teams based on their helmets? I'm not judging, it's as good a reason as any, I suppose.

Both pale in comparison to SEC football. Hotty Toddy!

Oh please not this season. I'm in the heart of SEC football and outside of Alabama there is

not one team in the SEC that could scare the likes of Clemson, Oklahoma, Florida State, Ohio State, and Penn State this season. I won't even start on the SEC East. Florida could be beaten

by Pitt or South Florida.

TRANSLATION - Even in a down year, the SEC still has the best football team in the nation.

But I agree that this year, the Big 10 has more quality teams at the top. But top to bottom? I'd still say the SEC is tougher. I'd much rather play Rutgers or Purdue (the bottom-place finishers in the two Big 10 divisions) than play SEC cellar dwellers Ole Miss or Missouri.

The SEC East has been down for awhile, no doubt. But the West more than makes up for it. The SEC West is the toughest division I've ever seen. And it is far and away the most FUN division I've ever seen. The game experiences are just unbeatable, IMO.

I agree the SEC West is the toughest division in college football period although
I only credit Auburn, LSU, and Texas A&M(before the injury to their starting qb) as serious top 25 teams outside of top dog Alabama but the chemical imbalance of the SEC East makes it a slightly down year for the SEC East. Hell Kentucky was in the thick of the race until the final 2 weeks. Georgia overrated, Tennessee overrated, Florida overrated. I'm hoping South Carolina can rebuild with good recruiting and contend in the SEC East next season. Every team in that conference will be playing for second place as long as Nick Saban is the coach at Bama.

Yeah, right, the Pittsburgh Steelers who only have their logo on one side of their helmets! GAY.

So then you must think the Browns helmet is the coolest thing ever!!

I do have a friend who's lived and worked in Cleveland all his life and he loves his Browns thru thick and thin. He's very quick to get into Browns history, when they were a strong team and won the very first Super Bowl. I might have that detail wrong, but the Browns were good at one time. But yes, the Cleveland Browns need a make over. Or maybe the fans would not stand for it.

Umm the Browns never won the Super Bowl and never will as long as the Pittsburgh
Steelers are around. lol Green Bay actually won the very first Super Bowl. I love teasing Cleveland fans. They used to talk the most shit for a sad sack franchise that hasn't been shit since Bernie Kosar played in the 80's wearing that ugly ass doofus #19 jersey. lol

Yeah they never won the Super Bowl, though I do believe they won National Championships (which no one plays for anymore) when Eisenhower was president. They could win a championship if they moved to the CFL falloff

I think I know the reason he often looks deflated on the football field.

Sounds like you got inferiority complex when it comes to football comfort falloff

The 2007 New England Patriots win all sixteen of their regular season games and then lose Super Bowl XLII. THAT was some funny stuff! And here's more nonsense about the NFL: numbering the Super Bowls with Roman Numerals! No one, not even we super intelligent Canadians, remembers that stupid segment in grade eight math class where we had to learn Roman Numerals. And you guys went with it for FORTY NINE YEARS!!! I was so relived to see Super Bowl 50.

Not at all, kpowers, I have given your poorly educated American mind something it can't quite handle, and that is that your beloved NFL is shite and worthy of ridicule. I would think it would be you who is struggling with feelings of inferiority. NINE, son, NINE, air tight REASONS why the NFL is goofy. And if you go back and read my first post, I added another at the end so THAT MAKES TEN. And, I just got through looking at the standings for the NFL, and noticed you guys have, in the National Football League, the American Conference and....wait for it....THE NATIONAL CONFERENCE! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! WHAT, has there been so many concussions in the NFL that no one has the creativity to come up with better Conference names? Wait, wait, I got this...how about the Steroid Raging Conference and the Got Arrested Conference? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! FUCK, am I cruel or what? Wow you are all over the place. You nit pick and come up with stupid stuff. If the NFL had 24 men on the field and the CFL had 22 men you would say something like "Wow NFL needs more players to score points". You nit pick about one logo on a helmet and YOU CALLED IT GAY, guess that comes from your "highly" educated mind there but you don't hear me bitching about the Winnipeg Bombers just have a stupid W on it (Does it stand for Wuss?). Once again having different rules for different leagues doesn't make it better, just different. Please this forum is General Discussion and keep this politics free here.
