CLEVELAND INDIANS VS. CHICAGO CUBS

Cleveland (Corey Kluber 18-9, 3.14 ERA) at Chicago (John Lackey, 11-8, 3.35 ERA), 8:00 pm ET, FOX

Kluber didn't do so well on short rest last time, but Terry Francona has gotten the Indians this far so maybe he knows what he's doing. smile

I hope you mean on-the-field decisions, because he sure as hell makes horrible off-the-field decisions. lol

I meant Tito's actions concerning these postseason games clearly.

What are his horrible off-the-field decisions?

Umm ... let's start with allegedly popping pills often enough to result in his 30-year-marriage ending and also the Red Sox letting him walk.

http://www.espn.com/bosto...eport-says

A team source told the newspaper that Terry Francona was distracted by marital issues and his use of pain medication last season.

Francona, married to his wife, Jacque, for almost 30 years, moved out of their house and lived in a hotel this past season, the newspaper reported.

According to the Globe, team sources also had concerns that Francona's performance may have been affected by his use of pain medication.

Followed up by sending pics like this to a guy's girlfriend who also happened to be 26 years younger than Tito.

I don't follow the personal lives of managers so I never heard any of this.

I don't usually either, but when it impacts the team like it did that year with a historic collapse, it's definitely worth noting. I like Tito, always have. But I can understand why he was let go by the Sox.

Can any Cubs reliever get the job done other than Chapman?

It was a ridiculous decision to use Chapman last night, but the Cubs should still win it all.

Would be funny if Lackey gets the victory, he already has two World Series clinching wins.

Fitting how the Cubs passed the torch of longest championship drought to the Indians. Oh well, Cleveland still has their NBA championship to enjoy.

I hope the guy who paid $48,000 for a pair of tickets to the game was a Cubs fan.

In the last 60 years, during presidential election years, it's worked like this:

If the National League wins the World Series, the party currently in power retains the presidency. If the American League wins, the other side gains the presidency.

Now, I don't believe in this any more than I believed in the goat curse but just sayin' LOL.
