I had several lunch boxes, but the only one I can actually remember is...

I was not a fan and got it in an attempt to be ironic. Fifth graders in Ohio don't seem to understand irony, however. neutral I got teased pretty bad.

That was a favorite among my friends and I when it was on TV. Remember the self-titled album John Travolta put out in 1976 during his popularity as Barbarino? lol

That is one gay ass picture, it is almost as camp as Prince in 1979, same hairdo and all.

.

Anyway with lunchboxes, in the early 1980s we had Tupperware orange ones with flowers and then a circular one in orange 1970s style plastic, about 1985 I got a bright yellow clik clak box (Yellow plastic with clear lid and metal click on handles). By 1990 I was still making my own lunches (NZ has never had a school hot lunch programme or cafetaria programme).

.

99% of schools that are not boarding schools or ultra posh elite schools, only have tuckshops for high schools and expected cut lunches for primary. We have law here where most schools ban chippies and fizzy (Soda) along with chocolate and sugary foods. Kids have to eat wraps and fruit with water. Of course hood ass ghetto schools have to provide breakfast as poor Maori and Island kids often have no lunch and come to school hungry (Only since the money obsessed neo liberal Nationalist government took power).

.

NZ schoollunches have been sandwiches and fruit since the 1930s at least, and some richer kids bring left over stirfry as well. Many places ban the students from bringing excessively stinky curries and also the cheesarine type pasta and noodle snacks.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Then I guess the majority of the guys who thought they were hot straight macho studs in the late 70s looked gay as hell then... lol
