Yet, Dorne has a fierce army with a bully mentality. I think they are going to attack. Keeping the Lannisters busy. And at the same time Dany takes back the Iron Islands.

If the Starks are prudent, they will attack riverrun or revenge the Red Wedding while the Lannisters are busy defending. The Lannisters can't defend every where.

Euron can't be that great. He seem to bit of a loser of the family line. He doesn't seem like a leader but more of a "Trump" styled con guy. He'll out up a fight, but He can't out wit Dany's land army and Dragons, let alone the Greyjoy's best ships.

I agree. Dany will easily defeat Euron.

Strategically, it seems like punching down. Euron is building ships, and will put up a fight when he's ready. But Dany's got to go straight at King's Landing now. Euron may intercept them (if he's ready). Why waste time taking back the Isles and dwindling your numbers fiddling with Euron before marching on the mainland?

You have to have a launch site in which to attack (She's too far away). And she needs the ships at the Iron Islands. It's part of her bargain with the greyjoys. She has enough ships to attack the Iron Islands, just not enough for Westeros yet.

99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment

Great points. Seems like Euron's best bet would be to meet them on the sea because he can't match their numbers if they land ashore.

I would think that they would meet at sea to be quite honest, especially since GoT magically speeds up the realistic time frame of folks marching across lands or sailing to other countries....look how quick Theon and Yara got to Meereen. The last time we saw Euron, he was ordering the production of more ships. It's safe to say that those ships have been locked, stocked, loaded and are now sailing. I'm pretty sure the next time we see Arya, she'll already be at the entry point of Winterfell. lol

Damn, can't wait for the finale!

69 fuckin minutes!!! That better include some Bran Stark going back in time and discovering the true parentage of Jon Snow and hopefully we'll get to see Rhaegar Targeryan on screen.

I wonder if Lady Stoneheart is going to appear too, she's btw Caitelyn Stark zombie mode.

This is perhaps the greatest season finale to date in GoT history. nod I had to marinate on this for a minute and re-watch right after my initial viewing. It's that good and I may have to watch a 3rd time when I get off from work today.

First off, revenge is best served with three candles and wildfire. Dayyyuuummm Cersi put a move on the Faith Militant, the Tyrells, her uncle and some more folks that would make Michael Corleone smirk. Phew. That was some checkmate move she made. I know that poor Tommen jumping out of his own window certainly wasn't her plan, but shucks, after all she's endured, her attitude is pretty much "bury him and give me my crown". Cold!!!! And the revenge she got on that nun....man, that was priceless. "Shame, shame, shame". spit But you know what, the costumes, oh my gosh, their costumes are the BUSINESS!!!! Cersei SLAYED that black ensemble with silver accents, badges, etc. hammer Work it girl!!!

Can we speak on Jaime? He didn't seem too pleased at all at what he saw when he arrived back (Got played the "speed" game on us several times again in this episode) in Kings Landing. Wonder if their relationship will change next season. Hell, will Cersei turn on Jaime too in her attempt to remain in power? Well one thing's for sure, its a wrap for her when Daenrys arrives. Yes ma'am.

The only other person who could match the type of revenge Cersei serves is: Arya. clapping She deserved a standing ovation for how she handled the Freys. Yes Arya, yes!!!!

I'm not ashamed to say that I had completely forgetten about Samwell and Gilly. lol Glad that they seem to be the only ones, unscathed by the carnage that is going on in the rest of the world, for now.

Ser Davos actually looked like he wanted to cry and stomp the living shit out of Melisandre at the same time when he confronted her in front of Jon about Princess Shireen. Crazy thing is, this isn't the last we are going to see of Melisandre.

I surely want to believe that Jon and Sansa have a deep respect for each other, but dare I say that those two were kind of looking into each other's eyes a second too long? I know it's sick, forbidden, but this is GoT where anything goes. And you know how fine ass Jon has a thing for red heads. Just sayin'.

How badass is Lady Lyanna Mormont??? clapping She's the first girl I've seen that I want to acknowledge as a woman. Got more balls than any man in the room. I couldn't help smiling hard when Jon was declared King of the North. As excited as I was, I couldn't help but to also see Littlefinger's displeasure at the scene and Sansa's concern about Littlefinger's next move since HE intends to be on the Iron Throne. It actually seems quite silly at this point for him to STILL be after Iron Throne and we know that he's well aware of Daenerys coming through. Well get in line Littlefinger, you may not make it there. In the end, it's going to be Littlefinger vs. Varys.

Poor Daario, not only did he get gently dumped, but he's not even taking the trip to Westeros like he expected. That surely sucks. I'm guessing this is the last that we are going to see of him. It was hiliarous when he said "this was the dwarf's idea, wasn't it?" spit Yep it sure was and guess what, she's listening because she wants her power and she's going to get it. So if that means you have to be left behind, then so be it. Now onto Tyrion and Dany...another two who were staring into each other's eyes a second too long. lol I expect that we'll see Mormont next season too and mysteriously healed from the greyscale disease.

And finally, it's been confirmed that Jon Snow is in fact, Jon Targaryan(sp). Both a Stark and a Targaryran. Wow. So he's Daenerys nephew then right? hmmm

Now the number of alliances are growing. Oh snap, next season is going to be the ULTIMATE season for GoT!!! We only have 12 months y'all until the REAL game begins!!! excited

Overall, season 6 has been a pretty good season compared to the lackluster of seasons 4 & 5. nod

I'm not sure but I think due to the intensity and the many moving parts, having a bit of anticipation and some time to digest makes waiting a bit for each episode more enjoyable. One thing I can say, you do get these long drawn out breaks with GOT unlike some other shows once it starts you go straight on through with your story.

I love Sir Davos. The actor who portrays him is amazing. When he was talking about Shireen and it sounded like he was fighting back tears, about to lose it but didn't, I felt for him. I'm just about tired of Melisandre's excuses too...true enough, it appears that she has some remorse about what happened but why is it that your "vision" from the Lord of Light was off in that aspect? I mean you burned a little girl at the stake and your only response is that sometimes the visions are off? Girl bye.

Without a doubt, it's the most satisfying season finale.

First off, revenge is best served with three candles and wildfire. Dayyyuuummm Cersi put a move on the Faith Militant, the Tyrells, her uncle and some more folks that would make Michael Corleone smirk. Phew. That was some checkmate move she made. Cersei SLAYED that black ensemble with silver accents, badges, etc. hammer Work it girl!!!

That whole King's Landing sequence -- the shots, the score, the buildup -- was lifted almost entirely from Elizabeth, which cribbed from The Godfather. And it was compelling. The bookend to the Walk of Shame. Cersei didn't outsmart Darth Francis and the Tyrells as much as she simply outmuscled them. And she was so resigned to the prophecy coming true she didn't even blink when Tommen killed himself.

I always figured the Septa would find herself face to face with Mountainstein. And did she ever.

Yes ma'am.

Jaime's seen what the Mad King almost did to King's Landing. And Cersei actually did it. He was moved to kill the Mad King. Where does he go now? And with Dany riding on them, will there be time to choose?

The only other person who could match the type of revenge Cersei serves is: Arya. clapping She deserved a standing ovation for how she handled the Freys. Yes Arya, yes!!!!

Frey was so odious in so many different ways. He didn't get a lot of screen time but he was one of the most irredeemable people in the series.

I'm not ashamed to say that I had completely forgetten about Samwell and Gilly. lol Glad that they seem to be the only ones, unscathed by the carnage that is going on in the rest of the world, for now.

Not for long. When the Walkers arrive, Sam's back in the story. He's got Heartsbane too, a Valyrian sword. Jon sent him there to find the Walkers' Kryptonite.

Ser Davos actually looked like he wanted to cry and stomp the living shit out of Melisandre at the same time when he confronted her in front of Jon about Princess Shireen. Crazy thing is, this isn't the last we are going to see of Melisandre.

Davos let it all come out, it was a powerful scene. And Jon did the right thing. The Nuremburg Defense saved Mel.

The more chilling look was between Sansa and Baelish after Jon got crowned. Littlefinger told her she had a choice -- become Queen of all of Westeros as a full-blooded Stark, OR watch her half-brother stake the claim for Winterfell. She was tempted, but stayed loyal to Jon. Baelish sensed her jealousy when Jon was crowned. Could Sansa pull an Anakin and be seduced fully to the Dark Side? hmm

Varys.

She's named after Jon's mother, and she basically made Jon king. Remember, Sansa's dream from Episode 1 on was to be Queen of Westeros. Baelish knows that. She still wants it, I think. Baelish knows Dany's coming, but he don't know Dany like that, and with the Imp and Varys at her side, my money's on Dany. But who knows?

Poor Daario, not only did he get gently dumped, but he's not even taking the trip to Westeros like he expected. That surely sucks. I'm guessing this is the last that we are going to see of him. It was hiliarous when he said "this was the dwarf's idea, wasn't it?" spit Yep it sure was and guess what, she's listening because she wants her power and she's going to get it. Now onto Tyrion and Dany...another two who were staring into each other's eyes a second too long. lol I expect that we'll see Mormont next season too and mysteriously healed from the greyscale disease.

She was honest with him. And Tyrion just loves to believe in something, perhaps for the first time in his life.

And finally, it's been confirmed that Jon Snow is in fact, Jon Targaryan(sp). Both a Stark and a Targaryran. Wow. So he's Daenerys nephew then right? hmmm

Wellll . . . I think that's safely presumed, but did we hear all of what Lyanna told Ned. If she married Rhaegar, she legitimized Jon, meaning Jon has an even greater claim to the throne than Dany, the younger sister.

Now the number of alliances are growing. Oh snap, next season is going to be the ULTIMATE season for GoT!!! We only have 12 months y'all until the REAL game begins!!! excited

10 months . . . don't be adding time to our wait! wink

The pieces on the Game-board are finally starting to move closer together. As usual, Cersei lacked the foresight to deal with Olenna before she -- and House Tyrell's food, troops and cash -- got away. So she's now with Dorne . . . and Varys now has them on board with Dany. Meanwhile, K-I-T-N Snow/Stark/Targaryen is coalescing the North, with the new Three-Eyed Raven there to help battle the Walkers.

All these moves are being made without many of the players knowing what the others are doing.

Overall, season 6 has been a pretty good season compared to the lackluster of seasons 4 & 5. nod

There were 2 reasons for that. One, they held the narrative together to wait on GRRM to finish his books, and when he didn't, they were free to do more of what they wanted. Two, after 5 seasons of setup, payoffs and resolutions were due this season, if for nothing else, to clear the board for the Wars to Come.
