I don't know WTF is going on with Curry and Thompson but hopefully this loss can light the fire in them...just as OKC did. I knew Cleveland was going to try and win at least one at home. But GSW definitely has to take them the next game. No need in letting the guard down now. Funny, you take Kevin Love out the picture and then the Cavs miraculously know how to win. SMH. [Edited 6/9/16 4:36am]

I give Tyronn Lue credit for making adjustments. I didn't think he could out coach Kerr. He took advantage of Love's absence and defensive deficiencies and started Richard Jefferson which allowed LeBron to defend Draymond some. Draymond beat Kevin Love like a rag doll. I'm shocked that Curry has sputtered this series as well too but if he gets it going look out. I don't know what to expect next game but I expect the Warriors to hold serve at home no matter what happens the next game or remaining games at Cleveland. Not surprised the Cavs won but not in blowout fashion. I figured they would have won a grind it out 5 point win.

I wouldn't say he outcoached Kerr - Steph had TWO points in the entire 1st half, & Klay was out for a minute with that injury. Neither was particularly hot this game, & the bench wasn't on fire like they were at home. If not for Barnes, Dubs would have really stunk up that joint! Hope it doesn't happen again, Cavs were looking sweepable biggrin

Well basically he made adjustments that worked game 3 where as it looked like
he had no answers for the first 2 games.

LBJ has to decide that he is going to wreck shit. He's a facilitator, but he must decide that
he is going to dominate first, then facilitate. If he can do this, especially while there is clearly
something wrong with Curry, they can pull this out.

The NBA Finals

Game 4

Golden State Warriors 108 Cleveland Cavaliers 97

The Cleveland Cavaliers easily took game 3 despitethe absence of Kevin Love, who sat out due to a concussion suffered in game 2, but he was cleared to play in this game, yet he would come off the bench. The Cavs were hoping to use the win in the last game as momentum to even up the series. Meanwhile, the vaunted "Splash Brothers" duo of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson had been struggling in this series, and they were hoping to break out of their slump. On top of that, eaach game was won in a blowout.

Tonight's game would not be a blowout. In fact, both teams came out blazing in the first half, with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love pushing the Cavs while Stephen Curry rediscovered his 3-point shot. The Cavs led by five points at the half and would take an eight point lead early in the third quarter.

But then Golden State would come storming back, first from beyond the 3-point line, and then with their defense. Klay Thompson broke out of his funk, scoring 25 points including four 3-pointers. Curry would finish with 38 points including seven 3-pointers. The Warriors shot an NBA Finals record 17 3-point shots in this game. They also went on a 24-10 run in third quarter to take a six point lead. The Cavs would come back to take a brief two point lead in the fourth quarter.

But then the Warriors' defense clamped down. They held the Cavs scoreless for just over six minutes in the fourth quarter, forcing turnovers and bad shots, and they had no answer for Curry, Klay Thompon, or Harrison Barnes. Lebron James led the Cavs with 25 points, 13 rebounds, and nine assists, but he shot 11 for 21 from the floor and missed many shots in the pivotal fourth quarter. Kyrie Irving led the Cavs with 34 points, while Kevin Love scored 11 points off the bench and Tristan Thomposon and J.R. Smith each added 10 points, yet neither of them were a factor down the stretch.

Menwhile, Harrison Barnes added 14 points and eight rebounds while Andre Iguodala added 10 points of the bench for the Warriors. Draymond Green scored nine points while grabbing 12 rebonds and dishing out four assists. Golden State npw goes back home with a commanding lead and a chance to close out the series for another championship in front of their rabidly cheering fans.

Golden State leads series 3-1.

The western conference is like the NFC from '85-'97. Cavs aren't in the Warriors class. Series is OVA.

Funny,,,,,,the front office wanted to include Klay Thompson in a deal for Kevin Love. Jerry West put a stop to that shit.

Bad offense by Cavs in the fourth quarter....lot of standing around, no ball movement, Kyrie jacking up wild shots. They went away from everything they did in Game 3.

lol Tyronn Lue may have to cough up 25K for his ref complaints at the post game press conference. LaBron said he wanted to keep his pocket change so he passed on speaking on it.

LOL @ all this complaining about Lebron getting favorable treatment from the refs. No one got it more than Jordan - I saw that shit at the Garden plenty of tmes. Jordan pouted like a little bitch if he didn't get a call. He was as bad as Kevin McHale.

How many titles does Jordan win without Pippen? Magic without Kareem & Worthy, Kobe without Shaq/Gasol, Bird without his guys, etc. One man can't do it alone. You know this, so I don't get why you're being so obtuse.

Lebron wishes he had Wade. Wade's a better wingman than Love or Irving.

hmmm

Maybe if they start giving his teammates more credit.......this wouldn't be an issue.

Conversely Wade doesn't have one without Shaq or Bron and Wade
is one of my favorite players in the league. He did a wonderful
job leading the Heat this year given the situation with Bosh this year
and a little roster turnover but he won't get another unless he has another
superstar to complement him.

I don't. They sealed the deal for me when they bought the Steelers into
it the other night when they booed Big Benzo. It was on then. They may starve another 50 years without a championship. I ain't saying I like the Warriors but:
I enjoy seeing Browns fans suffer.

In other basketball news, the Knicks defeated the Clippers to win the 2016 NBA championship (in my 2k Association, lol). Carmelo in the post, double-team comes, then kicking it to KP, Afflalo or Calderon for open threes............devastating! biggrin

Anybody up for a game (PS3)?

With a healthy Bosh, I think they'd be in the Finals this year.

Really, are you going to go there? By that logic, Patrick Ewing, Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, John Stockton, Chis Mullin, Tim Hardaway, Gary Payton, and Reggie Miller must all have been pieces of doody because none of them won an NBA title. And David Robinson must not have been all that either, because he couldn't win a title without Tim Duncan. rolleyes disbelief
