Panthers are killing the Falcons

The Falcons tapped out weeks ago. Looks like the Steelers have to win out to keep their

playoff hopes alive. KC has a favorable schedule with 3 teams under 500 left while the

Jets have road games at Dallas and Buffalo with New England at home sandwiched in

between.

We got Denver at home this Sunday. I was pleased with what I saw yesterday on offense but the D still concerns me.

Antwon Blake is terrible at CB. Once he blows his assignment he misses the tackle and he does this shit week after week. disbelief

Pagano is dead meat.

The Front Office owns part of this dumpster fire of a season, but a woeful offensive line is getting Indy's QB's hurt, and Pagano has lost control.

Yeah, but isn't this the same O-line that Luck took deep into the playoffs with last year?

That was my point; that the line play is a reflection of coaching. Pagano fired Pep Hamilton, who believed in running the ball to protect the QB, and after that, both QBs took beatings.

The FO failed to address deficiencies in the defense which didn't help Pagano.

Exactly! Been saying that for months. The coach AND the GM fucked up big time, bringing in old-ass skill players instead of building a solid foundation on both lines. Getting to the AFC title game was fool's gold - Luck's greatness masked the team's deficiencies which management ignored.

If I'm the owner, I say goodbye to both these clowns. The Colts should snap up Sean Payton if he decides to leave NO.

IMO it's about saving face for Manning. Broncos are done with Manning and are looking towards the future. Manning is a Hall of Famer, did alot for the Broncos and the Bronco's orginization dosen't want to fire Manning, thus he retires, just my guess.

Great NBC is not going to play the Steelers/Ravens game this sunday night

Steelers-Ravens kickoff time has changed

Posted 2 hours ago

Kickoff for the Steelers-Ravens game on Dec. 27 in Baltimore has been changed to 1:00 p.m.

Kickoff for the Steelers-Ravens game originally scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 27 at 8:30 p.m. in Baltimore has been changed to a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff time.

The Steelers-Ravens game, played at M&T Bank Stadium, will be telecast by CBS.

The NFL made the change as a part of the league’s flex scheduling policy. The league is moving the New York Giants-Minnesota Vikings game to the 8:30 p.m. slot on Sunday Night Football.

In a related note, the Steelers-Broncos kickoff time for this Sunday, Dec. 20, will remain at 4:25 p.m. and will be on CBS, as the network protected the game.

There is still a chance that the Steelers-Browns game on Sunday, January 3, at 1 p.m. could be flexed.

For flex scheduling:
Flexible scheduling ensures quality matchups on Sunday night in those weeks and gives surprise teams a chance to play their way onto primetime. The NBC Sunday night time slot for "flex" weeks lists the game tentatively scheduled for Sunday night. Weeks 5-17 can be affected by flex scheduling. However, only two games may be flexed into Sunday Night between Week 5 and 10.

Only Sunday afternoon games are eligible to be moved to Sunday night, in which case the tentatively scheduled Sunday night game will be moved to an afternoon start time.

Who's running the show there? I thought one of Indy's hallmarks as an organization was the
cohesive synergy between owner-GM-coach.

Speaking of coaching, one of the things that frustrates me the most about the NFL is its revolving
door on coaches. For example: John Fox. Why does he continue to be given head coaching jobs
despite a rather pedestrian career? It seems that this is a league where innovation is considered
as being slightly more inferior to tradition.

Anyways, anybody going to go see Concussion?

Aha!

Bill Polian is no longer the Colts general manager. So, after Dungy left, I would imagine that he
(Dungy) had already established some type of culture within the organization that Polian was able
to keep going until he got axed in 2011. Since then, it appears that the further the Colts move
away from that era, the more the new regime sucks.

And Irsay may be a fucking moron, to boot.

You've hit on it. Pagano and the GM don't get along and apparently have clashed over personnel. The biggest accomplishment of the FO since Polian left is drafting Luck, which only happened because they tanked in 2011 (IIRC, under Polian, which was the right move).

kpowers: So CarrieCee do you think your patriots are in trouble now???

Yes and no. We still made it to overtime in Denver without any of our weapons. The Broncos were the team to beat with the remaining schedule we have. D'Ante "may" be back...Gronk "will" be back, and Edleman will "hopefully" be back for the playoffs.

It will be tough, but I think we still have a chance.

I really don't want to see the Panthers beat our record just for my own selfish reasons...and I guess records are meant to be broken. Better the Panthers than the Jets or Giants.

I love snow games. Well some times it is good to lose and get that monkey off your back. Now the Patriots don't have to worry about a perfect season again. Anybody think the Panthers will go 16-0???

If Eli Manning and the NY Giants failed to pull off an upset victory, then I'm sorry to say that the Carolina Panthers will be 16-0. And this is coming from a New Orleans Saints fan.

No one in the NFC South plays defense but the Panthers. If New Orleans had a defense they

would be a playoff team. Why in the hell Rob Ryan was allowed to come back this season

is beyond me. They were terrible as hell last season. Now you may lose Sean Payton as a

result as he may be ready to move on.

I agree with you, Giants seems to be the spoiler. Falcons and Buccaneers would only win if the Panthers sat out their players for the playoffs.

Rob Ryan was only 10% of the problem. The real problem is Saints GM Mickey Loomis and the entire Saints front office staff members that are too damn cheap to spend the money to keep most of the Superbowl winning roster the team once had. Because of that alone, they needed to be fired first.

Because the NFL never schedule a Thursday game the week of Xmas or New Year's Day. They do it every year. I was rooting for the Cowboys from a distance but it
really didn't matter because if the Steelers win out they would leapfrog the
Jets by virtue of a better conference record.
