Thanks, I was gonna post this trailer.

I think it's a good cast so I'll check it out. Could be something like Do The Right Thing.

Anybody tired of Sam Jackson doing the same thing over and over? It was good for I don't know his past 50 movie roles or so. Just so formula now.

that's the folly of many actors in hollywood. they get into one character type and fail to move on. i dunno if it's bad agent suggestions or the actor looking at the accompaning checks if he/she decides to take the role.

there arent a lot of actors that delve into the "character actor" field. some feel it's too scary to step into an unknown part of their psyche i'd guess.

(2 greats via charactor actor abilities imo, lawrence fishburne <--from apocalypse now - to the matix (all three)

samuel jackson was cool in the starwars Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace imo.

yet i might agree with kpowers that he doesn't stretch his character actor abilities. if he has the "it" as a great character actor, is yet to be seen.

cool

i'm going to set aside December 4th to check this movie out.

Synopsis: After the murder of a child by a stray bullet, a group of women led by Lysistrata organize against the on-going violence in Chicago's Southside creating a movement that challenges the nature of race, sex and violence in America and around the world.

i hope people will not be on the (pre conceived) defense when they go to see this movie. also i hope the message in this movie is towards a healing and some sort of positivity for the better.

the killing has got to, needs to and must STOP! we need to dwell together in mutual peace.

Chiraq seems interesting. I just think alot of directors love Sam Jackson and just let him do his thing. He was different in the Star Wars movies (thank god)

Why would Spike Lee make a film about the former prime minister of France? confuse

YES! Mr. Jackson has way more range as an actor, but he's made the choice to become a Cliché.

I made the mistake of hearing about this at the Hello Beautiful website first: I think their brains are too addled by Hollywood Babylon and tabloid culture to fully grasp what statement Lee will attempt to make with this film. Anyhoo, I'm adding it to my list of films to see...

Finally, Spike makes a film that actually can be a potential hit at the box office. And it's a "hood film" at that!

I'll save money to go see it. cool
