Steelers have a tough match up tomorrow vs Cardinals. Mike Vick can't throw lazy passes against this secondary.

So we start Jones against KC

I know this may sound cruel but I don't want Suisham back. Suisham is limited
to 45 maybe 47. Boswell booms those 40 yarders with room to spare. Suisham seems better booting them out of the end zone on kick offs though.
Great character win today. The first half had Arizona blowout written all over
it. The defense bent a little but didn't break. Mike Mitchell is looking much
better this year than last. I never thought I'd see a headline that reads Landry
Jones leads the Steelers to victory. lol After watching Vick struggle the first half I was beginning to think what we have to lose by inserting Landry in. He played well. Vick was -6 yards passing at halftime. I'm not saying Jones is our answer at backup after only one game but he sure looks like a better option
than Vick right now as a passer. Dri Archer is wasting a roster spot. Losing Beachum for the season hurts. Damn Martavius Bryant has some serious speed. Can you believe him, Sammy Watkins,DeAndre Hopkins and Arizona rb Andre Ellington were all at Clemson one time? No wonder they made Tajh Boyd look like an NFL prospect.

The NFL has 2 start suspending players hitting QB and others in the knees on purpose.

This is beyond repair at this point.

After watching an entire Saturday's worth of exciting/incredible/heartbreaking college football, I watched - or tried to watch - some NFL football yesterday, . What I found is that NFL football is almost unwatchable.

The reason? Too many stoppages of play. I'd like to see someone lay out a game average of how many plays are run between commercials. I bet it's not many.

I noticed this first about 6 - 7 years ago. The NFL got into this pattern where you'd have a commercial break after the extra point, then the kickoff (which was almost always a touchback), then a commercial break after the kick return/touchback. Basically, you'd have a five-minute timeframe that contained maybe 10 seconds of play.

It's just gotten worse with the advent of the challenge system. On top of that, all scoring plays are now reviewed. And, unfortunately, stoppages of play due to injuries seem to occur on almost every possession.

Too much waiting around for my tastes.

You make some good points there about our kickers. Suisham is good but yeah Boswell I do believe made a 51 yard field goal right down the middle with room to spare at heinz field, not sure if Suisham could do that. If Boswell does great for the rest of the season there just might be a change in the kicker postion for next season. Now QB's, Vick with -6 yards..... uh no, time to end ties with Vick already. The people had spoken when they started booing Vick at the game. Jones knows the system and seems ready to play. He finally gets a chance to play with the starters. Love the fact the Ravens are sinking big time, I knew they would. The Ravens loss so many of their good players and punk ass Suggs is out for the season

I have always had the belief that the player should be suspended for the same amount of time as the player they injure.

They basically stole the game from the Bears.

Me and some friends were watching the game yesterday and on kickoffs kept calling for Dri Archer to show that 4.2 speed and near the end of the game when Martavis caught that last pass

from Landry Jones I said now watch this 4.2 speed. Dri Archer don't have it for this league. He's just too small and not quite fast enough to outrun coverage on this level consistently. He was not worth a 3rd rd pick.

Funny thing is that if the Bengals beat the Steelers in the regular season they act like the won the superbowl. Steelers beat the Bengals during the regular season, just another day at the office.

I hope so too. If Vick is injured the Steelers may need to sign another QB to back up Jones.

Not that Landry Jones can't stink it up against KC next week but

damn even I believe Landry can do better than 3 of 6 for -6 yards

in one half. Vick is done. Can't revive this trainwreck.

Tomlin: Steelers preparing Landry Jones to start at QB

Landry Jones got the job done on Sunday. It sounds like the Steelers will lean on him again in Week 7.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin told reporters on Tuesday that the team will "play it by ear" with injured quarterbacks Ben Roethlisberger (knee) and Mike Vick (hamstring), but will focus on getting Landry ready for the team's upcoming matchup against the 1-5 Chiefs.

"It's safe to prepare as if Landry Jones is our quarterback this week," Tomlin said. "He's healthy."

Jones replaced Vick in the third quarter on Sunday and threw two touchdown passes in a 25-13 win over the Cardinals. Vick revealed on Monday that he has a "tiny tear" in his hamstring. Roethlisberger is probably at least one more week away from a return from a MCL sprain and bone bruise in his knee.

Roethlisberger provided an update on his health during a Tuesday radio spot on KDKA-FM. The quarterback assumes he will split first-team reps with Landry this week.

"It's going to have to be a feel thing, a comfort level," Roethlisberger said. "It's too hard to put a percentage on where I am right now because as I sit here right now talking to you guys in a chair, I feel great, I feel 100 percent. But I don't know anything until I go out and try to do football-related movements on Wednesday."

The 4-2 Steelers have won two of three games without their star quarterback. They are two games behind the undefeated Bengals in the AFC North.
