Having trouble making CD's on Windows 7...` I used to make CD's on my Mac G5 laptop but it died, the repair costs weren't worth it (or maybe they were??) So I bought a barely used HP desktop from a friend, with Windows 7 and Windows Media Player. For whatever reason I'm able to burn cd's but I can't play them on anything but another computer. My Mac CD's played anywhere, any car radio etc. I've tried recording at every speed available with no luck. I read online that if you record at lower speeds - 8x, 16x - that you have more success. I had no success. I've used Maxell, Memorex, Sony CDs. Same results. I burn it under "Audio" - not "Mp3" of course. Is my Windows 7 software outdated ? I downloaded iTunes onto my pc with no success. Beyond shelling out a crapload of money for a new/used Mac(and throwing my PC out the window), does anyone know software I can download or purchase to guarantee my CD's will play? I have friends who still listen to them and they want various Prince/Live/Funk mixes for their car and their spouses.

A work around....
Load your music to flashdrive / thumb drive; give it to your friends they can burn their own CD's.
