$393.79.... pretty much the price point. Of course if you purchase online, not taxes or you could wait to see if the guitar will be a black Friday/holiday deal. I played one Sunday at Guitar Center... really nice and very comfortable to hold. The strings are like huge rubber bands; at first you think, there's no way those strings are going to put out a bass sound. This is the real deal, no toy. I'm going to take my acoustic amp out to GC and see how it sounds but I'm sure I'll order one later on this week.

You'll be able to plug in the Gold Tone into your bass amp too.

Oh, you are so welcome. That bass also comes with frets, I can't decide which one to get. Cuz, I play to do some Larry Graham slap bass playin'. lol I better go with the fretted one, I'll play them again and decide.

I saw that on Amazon. I actually got to see one in a store yesterday. And yes those rubber strings are the real deal but the dealer of this locally owned shop showed me a Yamaha bass that is serious too. I've also been in a Sam Ash music store that is literally around the corner from my job. I'm gonna do some comparison shopping this weekend. My Xmas gift too. I have to have family members contribute in lieu of getting me clothes. lol

Work it baby! lol Checkout the Luna acoustic bass as well... the Tribal one.

I had an acoustic ("full" scale) bass years ago phunkdaddy and it never came close to the sound I wanted... like the Gold Tone, especailly plugged in.

I can eek out some chords on a big bass (9ninnotesstudio1) but I need to start from stratch and learn how to play properly. The short scale nimble strings will be a BIG plus, for me.

Oh, make your iPad a recording studio on the cheap audio interface... Tascam IXZ Mic

Merry Christmas. lol
