^ eek

Owners of other small companies were getting rich less pleasantly. For a while I was producing records with Ray Singer and we went together to see the Roulette label, rumoured to be connected with the Mafia. People told us not to, but what the hell, we wanted all the work we could get and dealing with the Mafia sounded fun. We arrived early and were shown to a waiting room. Only when Ray wanted a pee did we notice there were no handles on the inside of the doors. He held it.

We were taken to meet the boss - Morris Levy, a Jewish record company executive with lots of Italian friends. His office was long, with his desk at one end on a dais. We arrived and Morris was standing mid-office. His hands were round the collar of a slightly built black guy, lifting him off the floor, shaking him furiously. 'You fucking black cocksucker. You promised to make me a hit record and you screwed up.'

The little black guy was shuddering from top to toe of his shaken body. Then we recognised him.

It was Mickey Stevenson, for God's sake! One of the top black producers in the world. He'd written 'Dancing in the Street' for Martha and the Vandellas and produced 'What Becomes of the Brokenhearted' for Jimmy Ruffin. Now he was being shaken to death. When Morris realised we'd come into the room he let go of Mickey, who fell to the floor like an empty sack. While Morris motioned us to chairs, Mickey crawled to the door and fled.

I have read the first installment of the "30 Shades of Grey" trilogy and wow was I suprised.

This is the most anti S/M book I have ever read and done so pretty cleaverly to make it seem as if it is very open minded.

Basically it is Cinderella finds her Prince, must remove him from all thoughts of Darkness, then lead him back to the Castle where they live for ever and ever, without all that bad, bad stuff. (soft feathery flogger and silver balls may come along but THAT'S IT! O.K, maybe the fur glove and the cute little vibrating toy...)

Anyway, Anastasia is a virgin, just like every other Princess.

There is a dark haired wicked witch, Eleni the dominant woman who seduces Christian at the age of 15 and introduces him to this lifestyle before he can refuse.

Christian, is the twenty-seven year olds name. He is not a real prince, BUT, BEING A BILLIONAIRE, he has more money then Prince William and Prince Harry combined.

His real mother was a "crack whore" Yep.

Soooo, he was adopted by a beautiful blonde doctor and her husband.

All his female employees in book one are beautiful and blonde.

The bad man, this guy is a friend who tries to force himself on the damsel Anastasia, he is Jose Rodrigues. He's not blonde or blue eyed.

In the first 514 pages Anastasia gets slapped in the ass twice with a hand and once with a belt. She also has a riding crop wet dream that Christian duplicates for her in real life. Clearly we see her as the loving woman that none of the woman he had sex with before her were. I peeked into the 2nd novel (I bought a 3 book set for half price after xmas) and things look less sexual then the first.

I would love for someone to comment or send me an email etc.

One bad thing about my body that I noticed is that I gain weight in spurts. Monday I was 7 lbs. lighter than when I weighed myself today. confused

I gained 7 lbs. in 3 days!!!!!!!!!!! I think it happened last night because today I was having major problems walking and feeling the fat all over my organs and such. That's why I got on the scale today. :depressed:

On an emergency diet.

Today for breakfast I did go to McDonalds as I have been for a while now. Instead of getting the usual Sausage Mcmuffin or Sausage Biscuit, I decided to go for the burrito. I was afraid that maybe the pork sausage in the sandwhich is one of the contributing factors in my weight gain (I don't know if they inject it with fatty stuff to make it flavorful), so I'm trying to avoid it. Also, no occasional hashbrown and definitely no Latte or Iced Coffee or smoothies or frappe. I think there may be sugar in it, I'll have to check. I just got the plain coffee without sugar.

Then for lunch when I got home was lentils and bread with butter. And a packet of Belvita biscuits.

I bought a few bananas for breakfast tomorrow and will eat it with oatmeal (from home) and I also bought some salad for dinner tonight and I already have lentil soup. Don't know what I'll do for lunch tomorrow, I didn't think that far ahead, man.

And I gave away my McDonalds coupons for a free frappe because it was too tempting. I quit that stuff already.

On Saturday I'm going to have to buy stuff that I can take with me to work to snack on and stuff because it's not easy eating healthier on the road. I can't think of anywhere that's within budget that I can eat. It's not easy to find good, fast food.

Also trying to do breathing exercises to help me with my stress levels. Read an article today about cortisol levels and I think that was what my problem was these past few days and the reason for my sudden weight gain. I still can't get over the 7 lbs overnight. That is too weird and distressing.

Hurray for you for giving away those damn coupons!

Tinaz once posted something either here on on her facebook page that was quite funny. It was, as I recall, someone stuffing their face with every fattening thing that they had in their refrigerator to get rid of it before they go on a diet. Diet starts after I get rid of unhealthy things-lets not let all those unhealthy things and COUPONS go to waste.

Oatmeal, those little instant packages were and are a real diet saver for me. I use 2 at a time (one is anywhere from 100 to 140 calories) to make sure that my stomach does not get the best of me. They do keep me full long enough to make it past all the unhealthy options and get to the good ones!

It's not that that didn't cross my mind. I was saying to myself that I was going to start after next week after I used up my coupons (thankfully I don't really have all kinds of fattening foods left), but my gut was telling me to be gentle on it already. lol

Werner Heisenberg, Kurt Godel, and Noam Chomsky walk into a bar. Heisenberg turns to the other two and says, “Clearly this is a joke, but how can we figure out if it’s funny or not?” Godel replies, “We can’t know that because we’re inside the joke.” Chomsky says, “Of course it’s funny. You’re just telling it wrong.”

smile

but you forgot to mention, there was also Schroedinger with them.

he said "until we come to the the punchline the joke is both funny AND not funny at the same time."

and Heisenberg specified "we can't measure the original joke objectively, because since we are IN the joke, all of our words or actions would change the content of the joke."

also I think Chomsky rather ended with "XxAxX is just telling it wrong" razz

but seriously, I love that joke lol
