It can become extremely annoying when certain men scream obscenities at the woman passing by, and even honking their car horns.

...and I also agree with the article that same sexes look at each other. It's an competitive issue.

One time when a guy did that to me he crashed into the car infront of him,the joke is everyone stared at me while he was making a scene & then they stared at me even more when he crashed.

Women look at guys crotches too.

The problem is guys dont know much about proper sizing and wearing cloths that fit properly, so it goes less noticed.

I had a conversation with a girlfriend about this a year or so ago, She said she always checks out mens crotches. I was kinda surprised because i never really thought about doing that, but then again i'm not from the male skinny jean generation & i didnt think i could figure out what a mans got going on in that department through baggy/loose trousers anyway. The times i have tried to look a man up and down i've always been caught doing it.

I tend not to stare at people anyway, i don't like it when its done to me, its one thing to look but another to stare. Nowdays just trying to walk the earth as a female human being/walking down the street involves all kinds of looks/vibes coming off of all kinds of people.

lol yeah my girlfriend who was with me at the time thought it was hysterical. I will give credit where it is due though, he wasn't using foul language like others have done but he was shouting, honking his horn & waving his arms around like he had lost his mind or something.

Serves him right for embarrising me in public lol

Men look at other men's bodies as well. They also compare and judge. Any man denying that would be lying. But some would, out of fear of being seen as 'gay'. Men do it less probabaly in general than most women look at other women. They are, in my perception at least, also less harsh on eachother than many women are.

hmmm ...can you imagine a study on THAT.

lol

He's absolutely right. And I'd love to see that study.

I generally check out everyone lol not really in a sexual way always, but in a curious way.. I'm just a really visual person.

Women do tend to be more interesting visually, but unique or hot guys are attention getters too.

See, the proof is in the pudding.

Well true it might vary more from person to person, but I think everyone has a natural tenancy to look, even if nothing is meant by it. Just in a byproduct from the general picture.

Same with a lot of dudes too, a lot of men dont overtly try to look intentionally.

Today I got filmed doing a presentation. Then I saw the recording and noticed a pretty big bulge in my pants. I then thought: oh my, did anybody else notice that too?! eek razz

Judging by some of the posts on here, I guess they did lol

I check out guys but it's absolutely not based on their bodies. I always notice their face first and only if I like that I'll notice their height, then their personal style, then maybe notice if they are heavy or thin. I do not check out crotches.

The only thing I take notice on women is their sense of style then maybe their hair and face, I appreciate a pretty face as much as the next person...but couldn't care less about their body type.

OGLE = stare at in a lecherous manner.

Honestly, is studying 65 individuals very scientific? Is it a true representation of what "everyone" in the world does? I hardly think so.

[Edited 10/29/13 11:55am]

It's always like that. A small group of people in a lab is supposed to represent everybody everywhere. And OF COURSE they have to bring up evolution as the explanation. Everything is explained by evolution these days. Obesitas? That's because of the evolution. It's becoming the new gospel.
But...if it is true, maybe those burqas aren't such a bad idea after all! wink
