Tyrese blasts "fat" people-says it is their fault they are "Fat" and "Nasty"

http://www.thehollywoodgossip.com/2013/04/tyrese-blasts-fat-people-its-your-fault/

"If you are fat and nasty and you don’t like the way you look, do something about it. It’s simple," said the well-sculpted actor, adding in detail:

"When you take a shower and you put your fat, nasty body in the shower and by the time you get out, the mirrors are all steamed up so you don’t look at what you did to yourself.

"That may sound offensive or insensitive but ultimately, you are big as hell because you have earned that s-it. You worked your ass off to eat everything in sight to get big as hell.

"If you got a problem with the way you look, then you need to do something about it. Excuses sound best to the people that’s making them up."

True. That's why I'm weaning off that stuff. Especially Lays and Pepsi...

Thing is I haven't touched a Lays since two months ago. And I only drink Pepsi in moderation than I did in the past.

Fat people can lose weight easier than he can fix his low IQ or his ugly mug, that's for sure.

I hope he falls deeply in love with someone other than himself, like a perfectly curvy woman and she gets fat as shit on him.... after he marries her and she takes all his money.

I hope his daughter gets fat as hell too.

that slightly unfair. Because some people or parents have two jobs. its eaiser for them to pick up mcdonalds because they are tired. Also, speaking from experience, places where most people are poor, these places are full of mcdonals, liquor stores. No organic food even if there were its too expensive.

He needs to actually do some research about food disparity in the United States before he starts running his mouth.

There are reasons why when you go into neighborhoods in East Oakland all that is within walking distance is liquor stores and fast food places.

They get their targeted group at a young age by ramming themselves into every low income neighborhood they can get into and making their poison cheap. Hell, it took us 6 months to get

the liquor store near RMS to start carrying (limited) fruit options.

Of course my people are growing up with unhealthy eating habits. That is what is made available.

I also believe it is an addiction. It takes a long time to unlearn the lessons you internalized as a

child. Hell, there is talk about changing things so that EBT can be used at fast food places, most

liquor stores have already done that.

Also, not everyone that is overweight is sick, eating unhealthy, or not exercising.

Yes, being 250+ of fat is not (usually) healthy, but neither (usually) is being a size 0-1 when you're a grown ass adult.

It is also easy to be fit when people are paying you for the use of your body. Tyrese doesn't

know what the fuck he is talking about. He can afford a personal trainer, gets paid to exercise,

and prob has someone else cooking his meals too. flipped off

Look, I have fallen into Tyrese little trap and so have you. Meaning, some celebrity stating his opnion only to shock and to gather attention. Its truly sad when people actually care about this. Quite frankly, if parents want to make their kids fat thats ther business not yours, not mines, not anyones. you can't mess with people decision.

I have to say your whole comment is, for lack of a better word, WHACK!

Just because your poor does not mean you cant eat well.. ive been poor, we ate SMARTLY..

I cant afford a personal trainer, nor do i get paid to exercise yet i put on my running shoes and run everyday.. Cheapest form of exercise there is!

Just because a company targets certain groups does not mean people have to buy into it.. people do it because they are too lazy to mess with anything else... And its not an addiction, nor is it hard to "unlearn"...

You are free to believe as you will.

"You've been poor" is far different from what I'm talking about. Eating SMART still requires a certain level of

knowledge/understanding about eating/health/food choices. I am glad you had

the resources you needed to make those choices and pass them on to yours. If

only EVERYONE had those resources. There are people who still can't read or write in the

United States, much less understand the complexity of healthy eating.

You try running in an area where robby/rape/shootings etc happen EVERYDAY. Again, I am happy

for your privilege, hell...I share it. But that doesn't mean that is the case for everyone.

Yea, sure, all these disenfranchised people are simply lazy. Keep telling yourself that.

Am I saying that everyone that makes poor choices is a victim? Hell no.

[Edited 4/12/13 17:48pm]

But you have to agree that they KNOW its bad for them, but they keep doing it anyway! It not like they live on a deserted island!

It really depends on the "they." If I cram a box of oreo's down my throat, that's my bad. I know

better. I have the income to have a better diet. I make enough to work less and have time

to make myself healthy meals. The area I live in is safe enough to exercise in.

I work for a company that does social justice work for the community. We hold health and positive

eating classes in some of the areas I am talking about. You would be horrified by some of the

questions we are asked/ answers we get to our questions.

One parent told me, "I make sure my kids eat healthy, I never give them soda, and they

take ramen to lunch, not hot chips or cookies." Ramen?!?! Really?

I agree that SOME of them know it is bad for them. I also believe that there is a difference

between being told something is bad for you and understanding why something is bad for you.

There is also a difference between understanding why something is bad for you and knowing

how to make healthy decisions.

But that's why I get involved. Thats why I do work around food justice. That's why I volunteer my

time at middle schools in the bay area that serve low income populations. I want them to have

resources. I want them to understand what healthy eating really means/is.

It isn't all their fault, but neither is it impossible to change.

I've been skinny, fat, and medium. I'm somewhere between fat and medium now, and edging slowly downward with no intention to be 'skinny' again. It was, is, and always will be a choice.

However, at all of my various weights, even when fat, I was cute. So, I'm not sure what this 'nasty' thing is implying on his part unless he's talking about morbidly obese women or something ( yeah, yeah--I know, we're supposed to say all sizes are beatufiul ).

What I don't get about his statement is that it publically helps no one. You can't criticize a fat person into losing weight. It's not like they don't know or they haven't tried before. Nobody wants to be called 'nasty' in public or told that they are ugly--It's almost like trying to get someone to score a perfect 100% on an exam by telling them they are stupid because of a history of C grades. It doesn't work that way.
