I sing and play with my church choir. I have been having a cold, sinus infection, or something for a couple of weeks..my voice was almost gone in the beginning but whatever i take, it helps everything but my throat..i dealt with this back in December it was a sinus infection,could it be the same thing again? I am noticing when I sing, i am not getting the notes I once were hitting, dealing with whatever is going on with me..i need some serious advice..i love playing and singing, what shall I do?

I agree that you should see a doctor. You want to make sure you clear up the underlying cause of the throat problems. If it is just a cold, there are two things I know of that will help soothe and clear your throat: Throat Coat tea and Singer's Saving Grace. Throat Coat is an herbal tea that does as the name implies - coats and soothes the throat. Singer's Saving Grace is an herbal throat spray that operates on the same principal. I've used both - they've gotten me through many shows when I've had a cold.
