Howard's done his share of ass-kissing interviews over the years too.

certainly. but 9 out of 10 times, he'll at least ask the questions the guest doesn't want to talk about.

Well yall know my feelings on Oprah already and I dont particularly care for Howard Stern either (although I agree with his opinions on Oprah).

But Oprah picks and chooses whose ass she wants to kiss and doesnt.

She has asked VERY inappropiate/controversial questions in the past to some celebrities that she wouldnt dare ask to someone like Beyonce, Obama, Will Smith or Justin Bieber for (political reasons). I cant stand her.

She's only asked those people those questions because they've usually embroiled themselves in some major controversy and she's told them she'll give them a reach around while she fucks them in the ass on national TV so that America will forgive them after they apologize.

Thats not necessarily true because all of the celebrities above have experienced some negative controversy.

Oprah could have easily drilled Beyonce on her lip singing controversy BUT SHE DIDNT

Oprah could have drilled Will Smith on his marriage to Jada BUT SHE DOESNT

and so forth and so forth....

I know alot of celebrities that are/were WAY popular than the celebrities above that got drilled by Oprah and received NO mercy...Ofah is a fake and if you dont kiss her ass.. she wont kiss yours and you will get drilled.

Tiger Woods? Lance Armstrong? etc? None of those people you named have been in THAT kind of controversy. That's the only time Oprah asks the tough questions and they're always with a spoonful of sugar, so the celebrity can take their appropriate lumps and so that America can love them again. And she barely even asks the questions. Unless, like Robin alluded to in that clip, you write a book she promoted and it turns out you're a fraud. Then you're bad for Oprah's business and she'll eviscerate you.

If anyone's interested, Howard and Robin really tore Oprah a new one over bungling the Lance Armstrong interview too, but I can't find it on youtube.

Well... I think during her PRIME (early 90s )as a interviewer/talk show host she was better than what she has became

She manage to successfully stay on the air for nearly 20 years (the last decade of her show was just straight corporate media bs though) She also made herself into a brand, interviewed alot of high profile celebrities and she was the first black female to do those things. I think because of those reasons she is treated like a saint

I GET her success (and to an extent I think it is deserved but not completely ) but I dont understand her popularity as a personality because she is so fake. I can acknowledge her success but I just can not get passed her fakeness

Also,

I just dont think she is as good of a interviewer as people make her. They make it seem like she is the greatest interviewer of all time lol

Hell I think some of the reporters on CNN are way more interesting and better as far as giving interviews.

They also treat her like she is a licensed Psychologist or Mother Teresa nuts She also throws her past guests under the bus. She seems to only care about her "brand" which is why she kisses certain celebrities asses more than others. She only wants you on her show for ratings and not because she cares about setting the record straight.

It amazes me how people dont see through her bs.

But they still have received some controversy and I actually think Beyonce miming was made into a huge deal by the media.

Oprah could have EASILY asked her a questioned on it but she didnt and she purposely did not ask it

I just think its fake to drill certain celebrities and not others.

I know for a fact some people wanted to hear Oprah drill Beyonce on the miming controversy because it was made into a big deal. Miming at a presidential inauguration? Hell yea people want her to address it but I am not surprised Oprah did not ask it because everyone kisses Beyonce ass and everyone kisses Oprah ass so its mutual.

Hell, Oprah even asked Justin about the rumor of him fathering babies and his break up with his girlfriend. She still kissed Justins ass but she also addressed some controversial rumors and topics.

I don't understand Mr. Stern's success either, you have an ass-wipe calling out an ass-kisser. Two people at opposite ends of the spectrum.

Outrageous? Maybe. Truthfull? That's up for debate. I find Stern to be a lightweight masquerading as someone who has substance and talent. The three of them represent what is wrong with radio, music, and TV. (IMHO)

Howard can call out the BS on others. Certainly doesn't want to call out his BS (Egomania anyone).

But Oprah has always had a little ass kissing going on, but since she has had her OWN network she has let all integrity go. That interview was cringe worthy and not up to Oprah standards.

Bieber fathering babies?

Don't be stupid.

If she would have asked about that, she would loose my respect.

Oprah her legacy is beyond the work of anybody I can think of. Nobody is in her league.

She singlehandedly opened doors for many women, of all colours.

She has discussed subjects and taboos that nobody would have dared to.

There is nobody who is so known and loved around the world as Oprah is. And made life better because of discussing taboos.

Mr. Stern will never, ever, ever reach as high as Oprah. And he knows that.

THe only thing he is good at, is being rude about other people. I don't find him intelligent at all.

He's just an ass. Paving the way for people to scold at eachother, be rude and sexist. I don't understand why people think he's so great.

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

Howard Stern calls out society's BS especially on the different societal classes. So, he gives a voice to those who other wise may not. However, Stern does so at the expense of others, very crude and base like, without any empathy for those in his verbal attack range.

Stern is some what like the Jerry Springer show (SHOCK just to shock), but Stern does add to the over all conversation on society's BS, unlike Springer's show.

I think Paul Mooney is better... Howard Stern seems to say things just to shock people and not because it has any intelligent value.

This commentary on the Oprah interview was alot better than what he has done in the past.
