In one more year I'll be relocted to Toronto, hopefully sooner. To make a thief, make an owner; to create crime, create laws. |

Given that Chicago is far more dangerous than Toronto and all.
Just saying. |

Cool! For some reason, I thought Toronto was about the size of Minneapolis/St. Paul. Like a "small big city."
I've never been, but I was thinking about going to TCAF this year, if I have time. I've always wanted to explore Toronto. I've heard good things. |

Sure. Drive-bys and just random killings aren't dangerous... |

Yeah, right - like that stuff just happens all over the city, all the time. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. |

it happens randomly in most cities in the midwest. Some of the msmaller cities in Illinois used to have a higher rate than Chicago. To make a thief, make an owner; to create crime, create laws. |

Chicago is dangerous. Yes, the vast majority of crime is occurring on the South / west sides but you have to be on your P's and Q's s wherever you live in the city. I've witnessed some drama downtown, that would've never happen say, a decade ago. The quality of life in Chicago is sup-par, you aren't getting the services you deserve even though we are being taxed to death on damn near everything, the school system sucks (it always has), and the corruption is so substantial it's impacting the quality of life irrespective of income. I seen this shit before but what is going on now is much worse than the mess the occurred in the mid 70s, much worse. We live for the most part in Michigan now, if I had it do all over again we would have never bought another place in Chicago. A lot of people are leaving the city to live in surrounding states. |

That demonstrates how dangerous the city in general has become. |

When an underage straight A+ honor student get killed by a drive-by shooting outside of the Chicago public library, THAT makes Chicago a dangerous city to lived in. |

Toronto has some tough areas (though they're Disneyland compared to the tough areas I've seen in the U.S.). But Drake certainly isn't from one of those hoods. He grew up in Forest Hill, one of the most affluent areas in the entire country. The average annual household income there is $102,000 vs. $41,000 for the whole of Toronto. The average home sale price there in 2007 was $4.3 million. [Edited 3/7/13 16:59pm] Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου
